It's official, the BAB is back in October. Bobby Logan had a great run as BAB TD the last few years. Thanks!

Things are progressing well for the 2007 BAB. Marcus is already planning. The payout, as always for the BAB, will be very, very worthwhile. Put the BAB on your calendar now.

This will be my inagural TD event There will be a few changes this year...ie. 3 rounds of 24 and NO final 9. I want to get people on there way by 2or3 on Sunday afternoon :) My goal for added cash is 2000 dollars and that could be surpassed because we already have $1250!! Anybody interested in helping with this event or sponsorship please let me know. Oh yea and Larry is back for course maintenance and upgrades... thanks Larry!!!

Those that are headed to NM singles, NM doubles, WT doubles, and the One Day - Fun Day - Sunday should be ready to hand flyers to post and registration sheets to fill and send to Marcus....or get 'em to sign up at titledisc.com. We've got a hot pro woman from NM coming in to play the BAB 2007...would be nice to see someone come in and give her some competition. Ask Marcus how you can help.

I won't be in Mckinney before the Big Arms.... I posted at the Carrollton courses last weekend- should be seen by a bunch of people getting ready for the Mr Jim's Open this weekend. BAB also became a sponsor for Mr Jims so we should get a shout out or two!!

Windrider meeting Wednesday October 3, 2007. We're finalizing location and time. Mostly, we just need to discuss BAB preparation misc (Marcus will be volunteering players their assignments), maybe some McAlister misc (monthly event), how we can support Levelland's 2008 C-Tier (likely in July).

Oh, and we need to get busy with dates, reservations, TD selections, etc. for our Mackenzie and McAlister 2008 (and beyond) events.

Great job to Marace and sherri for running an awesome tournment. Everything was running to a TTT and so smooth. Thanks to all of the windriders that help it was a great effort you guys. Also jerry kingston look at them scores up in record time and what an awesome program he has for scoring. You should put a patent on that sell it. Also them payouts were great and the am payouts. Great Job Champ and Marace.

Hehe..I wish I could take the credit for writing it, but that belongs to Gary Duke. He has developed that over the course of 6-7 years to get it to where it is today. I'm just glad he hasn't put a patent on it so I (and, anyone else that wants to download it) can use it. Jerry Power also has one that can do some neat things.

I think digital scoring is essential to running a smooth event....so much so that I make myself available when I can to helping peeps out in that endeavor.

But you dont need me.....its easy for anyone!!

Where can I download that program at? I am starting a mini out in Rockwall and I would love to be able to enter scores and keep a database of past scores on that program.

Abacus (http://www.lsdga.com/abacus)

2007 should be the latest one. There is an instruction page at the beginning that pretty easy to follow. My best advice would be to run a mock tournament. Doesnt have to be big, just enough to get you accustomed to it. There are some idiosyncrasies about it, so if you need any help, just let me know...or, contact Gary Duke.

That's the same program TX10/7 used. It does have some quirks, but it is very good.
