Gozales open is less than a month away, and my brother said that he tried to play it this weekend and it looks like a swampy overgrown jungle! Will this thing dry up by then? He said some of the baskets look like they hadn't been mowed around in 10 months. Just curious as to who is going to mow and fix up the course.

Third Coast will be doing last minute weed eating and tree trimming if needed............
Dead of summer, ground should be dry by then........

How about Beeville's college campus course? Or Memorial Park in Rockport for that matter.
Erroneous
Aug 22 2007, 05:34 PM
How is Rockport coming along anyhow???
The land Cruzita is talkin about could hold 18 good holes, and they supposedly have grants from the softball feild they could use... so it shouldn't cost anything but labor.

Aug 23 2007, 10:26 AM

Rockport seems to be perpetually on hold - I can't make it down to get anything done, and those that are there seem to have given up. The last time I talked to the city/park dept, they were still interested.

What about Beeville's college course?! I am trying to get the interest here built up in the big city of Beeville, and would like to eventually get a club started here. Maybe an expansion of 3rd Coast? Any tips or pointers?
Does anyone have a layout of Gonzo? Like the one ya'll did here for Beeville? holes and lengths?

Just keep it simple at first... you could run a weekly mini and have bag tag challenges. We have a mini on Sunday that we charge $7 w/ 5 goin to the pot and 1 going to the club and 1 going to an ace pot that builds until it gets hit. An expansion of 3rd Coast would be cool.

Nice job in Gonzo, guys. :D
Thinking ahead, is Budweiser Select still a title sponsor for the CC open? Is it the Corpus Christi Open or Corpus Coastal Clash? I want to throw a couple designs around...

Looking to do the Third Coast Six pack Series!!! Five qualifying tourneys, b or c tiers(probably two day events), must make 3 or 5 qualifiers to make the bonus cash at the series final, the Bud Select Corpus Christi Open- A TIER!!! Qualifiers in Gonzales, Beeville, Corpus Christi considering Victoria, Harlingen and ???Budweiser has already verbally committed to being our exclusive beer sponser..A percentage of each divisions payout will go to the series final to go along with the $1500 added cash. Series champions, bonus payout, paying for our tourneys on our website, etc....
Working currently on providing the rec centers here in corpus with portable baskets and discs....
Oh, also going to start putting CONCRETE TEE PADS AT WEST GUTH PARK!!!
BUSY, BUSY, BUSY......
CONSIDERING AN ICEBOWL ALSO....
