I just received our 70th entry today. That means only 20 spots left with one month before the tourney. If you know someone that is planning to play in the PASDGC and hasn't turned in their entry form, LET THEM KNOW IMMEDIATELY. The course is looking better and tougher than ever before. Our custom stamped discs are ordered, player packs are shaping up, and prizes are in. Not to mention the $500 added to the purse.
Don't let your discin' buddies miss out.

Me and the Olcott's came out that way to play 3 rounds on Sunday with the new pins and I must say that they are excellent!!!!!!!! The course is looking better than ever and the new pins really add some difficulty to the course. I think it's going to be a great PA states for sure.

I believe J Gary told me that he and Michael have set the par at 61 (blue tees to b-pins). Nice!

That is correct - the par for the B pins from both the white and blue tee is 61. The par for the A pins from the white and blue tees will be played at 59. Prevoius events held at the Lodge were played par 54 but, we decided to change that to reward good shot making. The course is coming along but, we still have some work to do.

Thanks to the IDLA for putting on a good show this past weekend in Indiana, PA. The weather was great and the College Lodge course has never looked better. I always have a fun time playing that course and this tournament was no exception. Congrats to all the winners!
Lastly, I'd like to give a shout out to all the golfers who started each round on Hole 15, including the other three open players (you know who you are). /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Jerry, did you have to start all your rounds on hole#15? Man that is rough. That's at the top of the mountain and the farthest hike from tournament central.
Also, why did Jay Gobrecht decline his winnings?

There were 16 Open players so last-place got to start on Hole 15 with the intermediate men. When I checked in Saturday morning, I thought there were only 15 Open players as I saw three groups of five starting on Holes 1-3....I never noticed there was an additional MPO on Hole 15. That is, until I shot the worst morning round and discovered I started round 2 (blue tees) on Hole 15! And you're correct.....15's tee is the furthest point on the course from the clubhouse or parking lot. The hike up that hill is freakin' brutal! And if that isn't punishment enough, that group gets to finish on Hole 14!
Also, why did Jay Gobrecht decline his winnings? I did not hang around for the awards ceremony, thus, I'm not sure what happened. I would be surprised if Jay declined his winnings. I suspect someone made an error when keypunching the data.
Again, thanks to everyone involved with the IDLA and the PADGC. I had an absolute blast and I'm already looking forward to next year!
