Anyone know what the cheapest hotel/motel near the course is? Don't feel like waking up @ 5am on Saturday to make the players meeting.

Two questions:
1. what course layout is the advanced mens division playing?
2. have you ever thought about combining Menasha and New London into a two day tournament & still using each course? The drive between courses doesn't look that bad and you could book a huge field but have relatively smooth course play by splitting the divisions b/w courses. If you wanted everyone to end at the same course, maybe have a cut and have a field of 72 for the final 18. Just a thought.

I prefer two day tournaments. Much harder to play 3-4 rounds consistantly well than 2. Anyway, just my two cents.

It's been long pads and long pin position in years past. As of last Sunday the holes that have multiple pin positions the baskets were still in the short (winter) position. I fully expect that they'll be moved back by the tournament.

Menasha Open: I have a note into Rich for the key to move the pins to the long location prior to the event. We will play long pads too. All divisions play the same tees and pads.

As far as combining the tournaments into one 2 day tournament, it is a great idea. But separating them is a great idea too. Some people can't make both and can only commit to one day or the other.

Plan on moving the pins to the long tournament positions on Wednesday before league. If anyone wants to help, be there at 4:30.

If anyone wants to practice the course in a tournament situation, we have singles leagues there Wed and Thur of this week. Reg at 5:00 Starts at 5:30.

I can't make the league days (class and the job), but I'm gonna be at the course Friday afternoon to get some practice in. Anyone available to show me the ropes of the course? Is it pretty easy to find your way around?

I'm going to be there Friday as well, probably showing up early afternoon, if you want to play, let me know and we can set something up. Last week when I went to play for the first time there, I had an easy time getting around, only having to back track a couple times. There were a few baskets that I had to look for, but thats to be expected.

It might be a little too late to send your registration in by mail as I cannot guarantee it will reach me by Saturday. Here are some options:

You can pay online at Uncle Joes Plastic Shop. (there is a $5 extra bank charge)

You can pay me in person (I'll be at O'hauser from 5:00 - 5:30 on Thursday)

You can send me your info via email to at least save you a spot, but you'll still need to pay the late fee on Saturday or Sunday morning.

Questions? Let me know. aadgc@new.rr.com

See you Sat,
Ken Kreie
