In comparision to Brown Deer which I only think a walk between a few holes were bad. I think it is way worse by a few baskets. It is not ripped up but tonight was a little warmer and it was definetley easy to lose footing. Also we heard gunshots off of hole 2 to the right sounded like a few blocks but it was only 530. So if it should be pulled if it freezes the next week no if not then unfourtnatley I would have to say yea.

I played there this morning and the ground was frozen enough that it wasnt an issue. The day before though it was pretty bad for about 4 holes or so. Looks like the temps are coming down in the following week so I think there shouldnt be a problem leaving it in since the traffic there isnt anywhere near that of Brown Deer at this point... at least not at the times I have been out but I do see people playing there which is good.

If it starts to warm up again and maybe if we start getting a little more wet then I would bring up the thought of pulling it for spring again. The worst spots are from holes 13-15 for sure, 18's fairway (can easily be walked around)... thats all I can really think of off the top of my head

BTW, Mark - I just want to give you credit for coming on here and asking for opinions good or bad it shows good character.

i would have to agree with Mark, that if it keeps warm, then it should be pulled, as i could see it getting pretty bad in the near future if the weather is nice enough.

With the cold stretch that's arrived and looks like its going to be here for awhile, I'd say its not necessary. The course should get a good frost penetration, especially as there is no snow to insulate the ground.

We played it Sunday and it was pretty spongy, but the turf was hanging in. A couple of weeks of the same and it would have been in trouble.
