Sheri asked me to post some info for the IB. First...No Wimps, No Whiners. Sign up on Sunday Jan 28th is at 9:30. Play will start soon after. The fee will be $20. You will get a players package. Some will get prizes. There will be a chili cook-off also...bring your chili! I'm actually going to bring a bunch of deer sausage (and maybe some deer chili also). The format is FUN first! The first round of 22 will be singles. Sheri will decide divisions. The second round, after a chili break, will be doubles. Sheri will assign the teams. So, if you are a single player, make sure you participate, because there will be players to team up with. Mulligans will be available. Each player can purchase up to three mulligans per round. They must be used during the round (three per round) BY the player (not the partner in the second round). Finally, she asked also to make sure that everyone spreads the word to come and play and then to help clean up afterwards.

More ice in the bowl or ice about the bowl or about the Ice Bowl... 9:30 sign in, but please be on time. Bring chili. Preferred treatment (as in who gets closest start positions, who eats first, and so on) for those who bring chili and/or got prizes. First round singles, second round doubles, 22 holes on each round, Sheri decides teams. Doubles format will include PPD, Best Score, Worst Shot, and Best Shot. No whiners, no wimps. Projected weather: 10:00 am - 28 degrees, 10% chance rain, 5 mph, 4:00 pm - 35 degrees, 10% chance rain, 6 mph...thus absolutely no reason to miss playing in this one. And, I just made a batch of venison chili and a batch of venison sausage! C'mon.

Marcus wins singles with a 65 -1. Then its time to eat but Sherri locked the keys in the house. I saved the day by going in the back door. In doubles Marcus and Z-Lo win by shooting a 65 -1. I think we raised about $120. 13 people showed up to the Ice Bowl.

And how did Gordo let Matt and me and beat him? I know, you have to be over 40. The top three finishers were over 40. Josh I just got back from your neck of the woods. I was unsure of my time available to play (I had a training meeting and I was not sure how long I would go), etc. so laid low. I did get out and drove like crazy to play Pease, finished in the dark. They sure need some TLC on that course...otherwise it was a very fun course to play.

J-Doyle,

Send me your phone number and email address when you get the chance. I need a favor, and I will be in LBB next Thursday afternoon, so I may get to play a round with you, if you can take a beating on your home course.

I don't have your phone # or all your wise-@ss SMS's since I got a new phone and SIM card.

Anybody have some solid numbers from your Ice Bowl? (How many players, how much money, how much food?) I want to get the results for the next newsletter.

Thanks
