Main Event in Lewisville has a smoking lounge indoors, but no smoking on the lanes

Brunswick Zone in Denton (formerly Triangle Bowl) allows smoking on the lanes any time during the week, and after 5pm on the weekends. They also have a bar where you can smoke any time

2 weeks w/o golfing sure showed today with our sad scores at the Lake today but it was nice to be out on the course. Leonel's wife Mindi played the whole round with us today also.

Always good to have another lady golfer out there. She was shooting some great shots and took 5's on 4 longest holes out there.

I have DJ and his nephew Corey coming in from OKC next Friday and if I am not back at a new job yet Todd and I are planning on playing CH on Friday around 12pm.

There's just too many ways to go with this.

Berries are typically blue or purple, small, round and kind of tart. The other half I think you can go pretty much any direction with. Don't hold back and enjoy :D.

Dallas disc golf, ie Dirk Snow had them built for the baskets to be used for a temp course. Dallas disc golf has used them several times. The bases were loned to them to use with the EBR baskets before they were donated to the Samual Crawford course.

I just never got them back.

The bases belong to the baskets. The baskets belong to Dan Roark and Randy Mecca if anyone. They are the ones that won them for running the largest Worlds Biggest in Carrollton years ago. They are going to be instaled in the new Carrollton disc golf course going in the grounds in a few years (I35 and Frankford/121) That park is suppose to have already been built but keeps getting pushed off. Last I heard it was 2008. I will design the course after they build the parkinglots and nature/jogging trails.

My first round was all about missed putts, the second was mostly about getting greedy on hole 1 and giving myself a circle-7 on a par hole. My mental game is still getting in my way... Weather is looking great for tomorrow, rounds didn't even take that long today with over 200 people crammed onto 38 holes. The temp course is pretty cool too, with some tight technical shots and some big boomers. I think the round ratings are screwed up though, it looks like it was entered with everyone playing the same course both rounds. Now I just gotta stay above the cut line. Strangely enough, I'd be tied for 6th in AM right now.

Anyway, Keith will be in town in 2 weeks, plan on some all day golf that day if you want to hang out.

he very well may have... but we didn't play the same courses.

Open started at the temp course, then z-boaz from the shorts to finish saturday. Then, they played the long Z Sunday morning and finished on the 9 tougher holes on the temp course.

Advanced and intermediate started on the short Z and finished on the temp course saturday, so day 1 scores should be pretty comparable. Where it starts to really differ is on Sunday's scores. Advanced played a round at the temp course while open played the long Z. Shooting under on the temp course is not that difficult. Shooting under on long Z... different story :). It evens out a little bit since the pros finished on the temp course and we finished on long 1-9... but you can probably add about 5-7 strokes to his overall score if you want to see how he would have done in pro.

As long as they don't rate the final 9 (please, oh PLEASE don't rate the final 9), my rounds averaged out to a 933 rating. That should help offset the Cedar Hill BS I threw... I might be up there with you guys on the next update if I can get a few more decent rounds in :)

BBD, don't fret. Final 9s are not rated. You have to play at least either 12 or 13 holes for it to be a rated round. If Chuck sees this, he will tell you the right amount of holes for a rated round.

It looks like the original destructive elements have decided that they can't make the course leave and have moved on.

The current damage is because the baskets are not in great shape and the welds are easy to break. Things are improving and the local Paarks department is dedicated to keeping the course in the park and maintained.

Beyond that, a few weeks ago, holes 1-9 & 16-18 were in the ground. 11 had been stolen. The other 5 needed to be rewelded. The parks dept is handling the welding. There will be at least 18 holes in the ground for April.

That would have been clever, except for the fact that I used that same line on you several months back, referring to how you always seemed to jump on the hook when I tried to bait Murphy or one of the other Carrollton "regulars" about playing GB or Porter too much. :eek: :D

Nevertheless, to answer your other question... yes, I had actually planned on playing several more tournaments since I'm single now, but it just hasn't happened yet. There are a few factors at work here, like increased workload, and the small fact that I now have a "two-wheeled love" in my life, now, but I'll get out on the tourney courses a bit more this year, I'm sure. We really haven't gotten to the portion of the schedule where I've been interested in playing that much, anyway... but that will change soon.

Besides, I wouldn't be in all that much of a hurry to start dropping down another slot on the standings, if I were you. :p :cool:

I did try a thumber in some crazy wind that got shoved down into the dirt before it had a chance to flip over and slide on its top. Then Ben over compensated on his thumber and it went up about 35 feet and ended up way off to the right and almost behind him. That was funny. Ben's shot a few holes later was hilarious. He threw a sidearm shot into the wind and it flipped over into what looked like a crazy cut roller. It bounced twice and the wind somehow flipped it back up flat. Then it decided to go straight towards the basket and even hyzer out at the end. It wasn't parked or anything, but it was twice as close as it deserved to be :)

Audubon was awesome yesterday. Nothing more than a breeze of wind and temps in the low 60s.

Jack and Kevin held onto their lead the entire round and won with a -6. Nate and I finished with a bogey-free -5. Hosher and Jay brought in a -4. We played nearly every hole from its more difficult position, so those scores are pretty decent. You people really should think about playing golf on Sundays once in awhile. It was far prettier than Saturday was this weekend.
