Hey guys, don't get used to seeing this.just wanted to clear some things up. First, Dineen is a great course in a good neighborhood. I was there in spring/summer/fall and everyone greeted me with a smile. Brown Deer is a KICK YOUR BUTT type golf course. If you are looking for something to complain about, you'll always find something. I was the only person involved with the course designs at both parks and I feel safe at them. After talking to the park /neighborhood watch groups I know what I'm doing. As for the type of course at each park, I wanted 3 totally different types of styles at each one. Dineen is long but forgiveing, Brown Deer is brutal, and Dretzka has a little bit of anything you want with 2 sets of tees. Brown Deer will be pulled at spring thaw. Next year[late fall] all courses will be closed for the winter. I have got permission from the man , Brian Zimmerman who is in charge of all golf/disc golf in Mil. to put a winter disc course on the ball golf course that will never be open summer. No it won't be a pay to play in summer so don't ask. This way allcourses can stay healthy.Any course that stays open in winter and spring will turn into a mudhole that eventually will ruin the course. For those who don't get this, walking on wet groud creates mud, mud stops water from draining, standing water crears more mud, when it starts to dry with 1000's of people walking on the mud/grass the soil gets compacted to a hard dirt bed in summer which creates water runoff when it rains in summer months, then tree roots are deprived of there normal water when they need it most ,thus slowly killing any tree on a fairway or main walk way. That is why any course pro has to be selfless enough to do whatever it takes to preserve the course. Haveing a strictly winter course here is the best solution I could come up with. You may agree or dis agree but that's whats happinning. here are some of my personal best scores at local courses Dretzka short pins /short tees -17 short tees mixed -15 (9 times) long tees /short pins -13 long tees mixed pins -11 long tees /long pins -9 (Barry S. -11) valley view -16(2 times) Sussex -15 Heritage trails -15 Tendict -15( original layout) Dineen -9 Brown Deer short pins -3 long pins +5 All of this was to bring home the point of how hard Brown Deer is.If you reply to this I'll try to respond within the next 20 -25 years. Enjoy playing these new awesome courses P.S. Terry Miller put together the proposal that opened Mil. Co. eyes to disc golf,I did 100's of hours of work to raise about 10,000 dollars, design courses, met with county architects, planning boards, and organizing work days to make sure disc golf stays free here.So join the G.L.D.G.C. and I'll put your 15.00 to good use .I f you like or hate the course ,blame me not Terry .These courses are for everyone not just the am worlds. There 30,000 disc golfers withen 50 miles and only 100 belong to the PDGA what are YOU going to do to help that number grow. Mark the shark

Cool Shark! Oh, did your wife help you find this site? ;)

Let us know when the next work day is, and it was good to see you actually playing last Sunday.

Concerning the GLDCG, we've had a couple of years where there has not been a club picnic or other activity, and have heard quite a bit of complaining along the lines of, “Why should I join/renew, what does the club do for me?" Well, for those of you who have kept the faith, the new courses wouldn't have been possible without the resources of the club (people, money and so on). Please renew or join, and please help out in other ways (play leagues, help out on work days, introduce others to the club, etc.) as possible. Also be sure to thank those whose efforts have been continuous and phenomenal!

Thanks Shark!

dont be shy to join either.
I was not a member for the past 2 years and finally did it a few weeks ago. it brings a good feeling to know that the little money you gave will help fund new courses, and maintain the ones we already have.
my 2 cents

Mark, I heard Ye!

those who Naysayers, Doubters and Complainers,

Please do appericate what Mark, Terry and the Crew has done for the Brew City. What is done is done! Im more than happy to have two more courses installed. At first, I was totally against Dineen Park. Later, I realized that every community should have the chance to play disc golf regardless of race, crime or whatever. Disc Golf is for everybody, I mean EVERYBODY to play. Thats Steady Ed s dream and we should grant and follow Steady Ed's dream. Right now Im grateful for Dineen to be installed and help the kids and everybody stay out of trouble and contribute themselves better. Bless you Steady Ed!

Secondly, if you really want to complain more, take the number and wait in the line and there is no body to listen to yours. Use your vocal into positive way and contribute to GLDGC, Disc Golf and the city.

Once a wise man say
"if you pee into the river, a whole village will get sick by drinking it"

pee somewhere else!!

If you still want to complain, see me and bring your own interpreter and I will not listen because Im tired of people bashing and belittling to those people who made things happen for everybody to enjoy disc golf.

North, South, East and West, May the Wind Gods guide you
