Hello Folks

Im starting this Post to see any course that will/ will not be closed this winter. I usually go out play disc golf at frozen tundra, yet i do not want to be disappointed by arriving there without baskets.

:eek:Dretkza Park baskets will be pulled out by Thanksgiving. Is there any reason why its going to be pulled out this winter?? But there will be two newest courses Dineen and Brown Deer ready for me this winter :D

Sussex is also pulled already. Each year I try to compile a listing like Scott was referring to. I will do the same this year and post it to the widiscsports.com webpage. Keep posting them here and then I'll put all the info together on one page!

Thanks.

Speaking of Parkside, I'm hosting an event there in less than 3 weeks! Pre-register (http://www.takeflighttoday.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=114) online or send your check in asap.

I'm pulling Kewaunee on Sunday after Thanksgiving.

We usually try and get players out to play a couple rounds before going into hybernation. So if you want to play an informal event, come out and play some rounds, then pull some pins. (Think 712' #18 off the hill). I've thought of sanctioning, but I think interest is too little this late in the year, attendance is pretty hit or miss, somethimes it's just too cold and snowy (but you can sled down the hill!).

Hey Space Cadet,

If you like wooded courses, you have to try a little gem around here in Forest Junction. Only 9 holes, but they are tight and long! 460' double "s" fairways and such! It's about 20 minutes east of Appleton, on Hwy 10. Definitely worth it if you crave to chop some wood.

Ohauser is definitely cool, play the long tees. The back 9 contains some nice tight woods.

If you're limited for time, skip all the green bay course in favor of the appleton ones. In order of my personal preference -
Ohauser
Kaukauna (back 9 is easy but fair in winter)
Telulah (good balance)
Plamann (more open but a park setting like Token)
I actually like Red Arrow in Oshkosh a lot, it has very good variety and shot selection (trees, water, elevation, etc), but lot's of other people hate it.

You know I have to pimp the ski hills, long bombs, and tight woods of winter park - but baskets are out for winter. I'd be happy to play a round with you guys when the baskets are back in.

Check course closures first - I'm not sure what is actually open right now.

Don't freeze too bad on the 21st - keep well hydrated. :D

Plamann should be pulled by now and I'm guessing Telulah is too.

O'hauser and Kaukauna are still in. O'hauser has a couple of new pin placements and all baskets are in the (short) winter positions. Kaukauna has new pin positions on three holes (7, 10, 18).
