What great tournment terry it was awesome. That was diffently smooth until the whole advanced division was at the top of hole eight. Then a pro card was on top too, We waited 45mins. That was the biggest flaw of the tournment. Nwxt year put a drop zone and use the two min rule. I had no problem but other people did and then they would have to come to the top of the hill top and retee. What do other people have to say about that.
Never fear the come back putt!!
Dont lose your disc!
Tall order I know.

100+ people threw champion 8 during the 3rd round. We had two re-tees. One lost disc and one the player called unsafe/unplayable. That's not bad.
We had one or two groups with several off-line throws and that caused the back-up. Yes, it took some time to recover from that.
Every event is a learning experience and this one was no different. We did come out of this with some ideas that could lead us to solutions for the next time.
Thanks to everyone that came out to play.
Brian
I have the solution... Put some more boom in your bag!

Can someone describe the exact layout used for the final 9? Thanks
Modified hole one champion tee ( coda banged a 60+ par putt here )
Champion hole 2( coda took the only 3 )
Hole 3 in the long pin
Hole 7 in the long pin ( chris sprague had a great birdie on this hole that I cought on tape, mucho stretch flick putt around a bunch of junk, probably 40 feet up hill blind )
Champion 8 to 10's long basket ( barry and coda almost took 3's)
Tee off on 11 to 12' long
13's tee to 14 long basket ( coda took a 3 here )
Champion 17 ( Nolan was birdie putting from about 40 ft, stupid branch!!! )
Champion 18

Hole #1 tee was on the sidewalk beside/behind the tree that's behind the normal box. Did that make any sense?
#3 pin is a bit longer but just in the woods.
18 has a new pin position as well, 3/4 the way up the fairway in the woods to the right.
The bid DR needs to write himself a perscription for his " broke " back! :D
Sorry u could not make it Danny

Yeah I hate that I couldnt make it. I went to the doctor friday and he popped my back, and said it should be fine. He said I had a small muscle spasm. It felt fine for a while but the pain is back. I don't know what I am gonna do now. I got out and played today and pushed through the pain. Probably not smart but oh well.

That means only 4 men haved 3'd Championship 8's teepad to 10 long's basket....
Coda had a 30 footer but panned it. Daniel Stacey had a 3o footer but the disc slid off of the left side chains. Barry also hit the pan from about 50.
Stokely, Leyva, Little, and now.....Mitch Mac!
WOW!!!!!!!!!
Awesome!!!
Way to go Mitch Mac!

That's one of my favorite disc golf holes. Of course, I remember it as hole 16 from the original design. Did you know that there was a C-pin sleeve further than 10's green? From 10's b-pin green, walk toward the fence line....there should still be a sleeve in the ground surrounded by some trees. Unfortunately, it was damaged by a tractor in the early 90's, but it's probably still there. Most of the holes in the orginal Veterans Park design included championship pin placements (c-pins), but that was before the city began building sidewalks, restrooms, playgrounds, etc.
As for the original CH16 to the b-pin, I believe there were only 4 or 5 times a three was scored on that hole during tournament play....and if memory serves me correctly, Sammy Joe carded two of those threes. This would include the years of 1990-1996.
