Speaking of the League.....since we gave the old ace pot and course fund to Denny's family, how much is now in the new ace pot and course fund?

How much money did the basket raffle in Tulsa raise for Denny's family? It may have been posted before but I couldn't find it....just curious.

That's Awesome! I wish I could've been there when they got the money. As soon as I get enough money and sell off all my discs, I'd like to get a college fund going for Denny's girls. In the Spring, I am going to talk to a few banks and Walmart and several other places to try and get some matching funds. It wouldn't take much since they are so young. I'm not a club member, but if the club would like to help me out, they can contact me. Like I said, I don't have time now, but I'll start after Finals.

Thanks. Like I said, this is just an idea right now, since I don't have the time and won't til after December. But I talked to a scout troup and a Biker Charity group and they both said they'd do what they could. I offered the idea of Aluminum Can recycling on hikes and clean-up days to the scout troop and they thought it was a great idea. Also, I wouldn't mind hosting some DG events over the next few years to raise money for their fund. I'm just trying to do what Denny most definately would've done. I'm certain he would want his girls to go to college. More details to come when I get more time. Thanks.

I realize that I am just a leaf being blown through the world of disc golf, and that I have no control over anything other than my own game, but I was wondering will there be "minis" at Northshore this weekend?
If it's at Horseshoe Canyon, instead, will I get "stroked" if I'm not there?

we can tee-off by 1000 at the lastest. At Least I am going to tee-off by 1000 at the lastest I want to get over there play a round in the mild morning and still get back to watch the hogs loose to Auburn. I think Barney and colin and possible Dasun may ride over with me. We are going to try and leave by 7:30 or so which is not that early. I think that you could make it

I won't be there. You won't be back in time to watch the game Number 4. I'm pretty sure it starts at 1100.

Yes Jeff there will be mini's at northshore this weekend. It only takes three to hold a mini. Someone just collect the money. 5 dollars to play($1.00 to the club/city)($1.00 to the ace pot)($3.00 to the pay out) you know how it goes ;).

accidentalROLLER
Oct 04 2006, 11:44 PM
does a $1 really go to the club/city? I was under the impression that this money never made it to the club/city. I thought it went in someone's pocket :(

I do it for the shorties.

Plus, how many times do i get to rouse a former world champ?

Bubis is gone, but he was only a runner-up, and Barney and Mayo will cry if I tease them too much.

Thanksgiving
Skins Match
November 24th
McClure Park 1:00pm

100% Cash Pay Out
Free CTPs
Two Divisions
Players Division Entry $90

This division will consist of at least 6-8 players to a card. Cards will be chosen on a random basis. Players will draw cards to determine who plays on each card.

Poser Division Entry $20
This division will consist of at least 6-8 players to a card. Cards will be chosen on a random basis. Players will draw cards to determine who plays on each card.

This will be a single round match of 18 holes. All PDGA rules apply. All tied or capped holes will be carried over to the next hole. In the event that there are holes that have been carried through hole 18, a sudden death play off for those skins will be started on hole #1. Any player not matching the best score on a sudden death play off hole will be eliminated from the match. This will continue until a single player wins all of the carried skins. To help with the speed of play, any player that cannot win or cap the hole shall pick up and move to the next hole. The winner of any skin(s) shall have the right to choose his order of play on the next hole. He can choose to tee off in the first position or the tee off in the last position.

The Poser division may be raised to a $36 entry, if the posers from that division wish to raise it from $20.

going from 3+ to -3 under after taking a 6 on a hole that I forced I don't see that as being bad. especially when Ganzel was only two strokes ahead of me at the end of the round. Taking no 6 = ganzel 1 for 2 not 2 for 2. It won't last any day I will meet you out there and play bring it on :D

Nov 27 2006, 11:09 PM
Well, I shot 15 over.....
Robby Parrish was in town for the day and tied Larry Q at 5 over...amazingly enough, both finished with left handed putts. Wookie and Chuck ended up with double digits also though increased their reading speed ten fold ( they didn't have to walk very far to reach their lie :D) It was a good round.

Sunday Wookie and Chuck defended a huge lead for 16 holes,
watson and I snagged six birdies in a row to catch them by one, and single-handedly (as a team) managed to spell both donk and baile by hole 17...watson hits the band on 18 from thirty, smiles and laughs saying "There ya go partner." I layed up. :DAnother good round.

How was the canyon?
