I'm drastically going to try to make it. Greg runs such smooth events. I'm attempting to see if I can get Stephen and/or Carol to go down and play. I've been telling everyone I see to play the stretch of local events...Big Spring, then Amarillo, then That Cotton Pickin'.

One day fun day is going to be so much fun cause of Mr. Greg Brook he always runs an awesome tournment. Good Luck to you all that are going to Big Spring. One other note Lubbock Winderiders fight until the end and also another sweep on the line see if we can get 10 in a row. 9-0.

Marcus wins Open by 2 over Bo and Kyle

Vicente wins Masters

Jeremy Bueno of Ft. Stockton wins Advanced

Tom Brown from Amarillo wins Am (and, would have finished in the middle of OPEN)

Dont remember who won REC.

Regina Estrada of Amarillo wins Womens div.

Not quite the sweep Lubbock always looks for :o, but a good showing nonetheless :D.

There are some good players in this region still hanging around in the lower ranks. Some people need to get out of the 'easy chair' and run a little. Step up! Take it to the next level!!

Good job by Greg Brooks and Big Spring!!! And, I really enjoyed the 2-18 rounds instead of trying to squeeze 3-15 rounds in, then final 9, then CTP/ring of fire, THEN awards (usually with everyones headlights on so Greg could read results). GOod job!

You right not quite the lubbock sweep. Starting off 11 out 13 people cashed out. Marcus and bo 1st and 2nd and gordo 5th in open. Vee wins open grandmasters.
Me and albert 2nd and 3rd in advanced. No played inter. But rec JJ from lbk wins and 2nd from lbk trey. Also sherry gets 2nd in open. To me that many people show from one city that is great looks like lubbock is always in the top 3 or top five in every division when they go to out of town tournments. Wait until teams this year if everyone is able to go. On lighter not what and awesome tournement greg ran. See ya in amarillo next weekend.

No doubt, Lubbock did well. I was thinking in terms of 1st place finishes...not overall. And, I wasnt trying to put Lubbock down in any way...if thats the way it came across. More and more coming out of Lubbock every year....its a good thing!!

Pay out??? You mean having a fun event to play in that also gives back to our community isn't enough of a pay out? And also getting lunch brought to you, then having dinner taken care of with a band to boot. That's not enough for your monetary support of a good cause? If Disc Golfers as a group did more things like this for their neighborhoods and communities, I believe it would be much easier to get Parks Departments and other BIG sponsors to do more for Disc Golf.

There will be prizes for each division. I know for the Pro division there will be a gift certificate for $350.00 from Tripps Harley-Davidson (or $200.00 cash) for first place. I'm not positive on the actual breakdown of all the prizes, but there is a big stack of stuff to be divided. I'm pretty sure there won't be stacks of discs given out like other events (this is their first ever attempt at this so they aren't in the disc retail business), but divisions winners will be compensated fairly.
