I posted this (http://www.md-discgolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=801&start=0) on Rich's minor league bored last week, and realized today that there might be some of you here interested in joining the most exclusive disc golf club in existence.
Nomads obviously would not have to be exclusively local to Maryland. Therefore I offer any of you the same opportunity I did to the readers of the minor league bored. Simply submit your essay application here, and I will review it for admission. If you make the cut we can PM details on how to pay for and receive your polo. As I requested on the local bored only those sincerely interested in joining this elite group and wanting to proudly wear the coveted polo should apply.

Due to the users of Rich's minor league bored not being able to hang with <font color="red">Your Disc Golf Hero </font> the forum located at www.freestateflyers.com (http://www.freestateflyers.com) has been reclassified as members only. Therefore anyone interested in applying for Nomads membership will have to do so on this thread from now on. Good luck.

Hawk,
Now that things have quieted down a little, I have had time to consult my muse and, as promised, come up with a proper application to join the Nomads. I post here on the PDGA site because, quite frankly, I’m uneasy about accessing the Nomads site at work since my monitor is not in a secure location. Feel free to cut and paste this offering to the Nomads site if you wish.
Mad? No!
He plays his game by tossing dice on board;
At Calvert’s site this raptor flew too high.
The blue hued words upon whose draft he soared,
Became too much and forced a fond goodbye.
In the big league a hero he becomes,
John Madden meets good Doctor Ruth it seems.
The prodigal returns to join the bums;
A private thread he buys with Krispy Kremes.
With polo bribes he calls the misfit crew
To join his tour around the town to play.
Came Bleak the tale that then his cover blew,
Nomad mystique quickly began to fray.
And so exile is now the price he pays,
The Nomad thread is where he spends his days

Wayne,
I know what you mean about the Nomads bored. I too am perhaps going to have to limit my use to evenings at home. ;)
A well done historical accounting of the path the Maryland Nomads took, and your obvious desire to be as stylish as the rest of the pack. As an added bonus membership probably ensures you more DAM free rounds than non-members.

We will conduct business at a future (sometime in October) doubles event.

I just realized that the link at the beginning of this thread is to a now members only forum, so everyone might not be able to see the directions and some sample applications. The current primary membership home is here. (http://marylandnomads.com/index.php?topic=3.0) Of course this thread is still good for applicants looking to submit themselves for review.
