I am looking at taking the wife on a disc golf road trip next weekend. I have never played northshore or Horseshoe but only heard great things. Any suggestions or recommendations? Can you stay the night at horseshoe, is there anything else to do in Arkansas beside play disc golf?

Horsehoe may be a ltlle expensive to stay there until the winter rates kick in, in October. But i'm sure you could stay in jasper or just play there, then go find a hotel.
Northshore is a good course, you'll like it.
Other things to do in Ark:
Learn to pluck a chicken
learn to cut and haul wood
tour walmart
Eat at A-Q chicken
Get a tattoo
go to a wedding/family reunion
learn taxidermy
:D;)
Don forget, there is an A tier next weeknd in KS.

With all the over growth, ticks and chiggers out, horseshoe may not be too fun at this time, plus I think the dude ranch thing is still going on.
We have mini's at northshore on Sat. 10am(singles)Sun. 1pm(flip doubles).
Besides the fun stuff Dave mentioned to do over here, we have some good fishing,Dickson street(food & drinks), You have Eurika springs about an hour away(shops and what not),caves.
Come on over.
Dave, you left out the greased pig contest and the tobacco spitin contest.

Probably pretty ridiculous. You'll be hot enough jusy playin a regular sized course.Horseshoe is a bomb of a course but I wouldn't play it this time of year.(But i'm old and weak so pay no attention to me)Oh yeah,If you play BG in the AM and Alma in the afternoon. You'll be able to swim at Alma afterwards.(Nice pools and slides for the family etc)Great way to end a round of golf.
