Well if you're coming to Tulsa to play, then find a different course than Black Hawk, it will be closed starting tonight through Saturday. I will begin bagging all of the baskets tonight.

I agree, Barney worked his butt off at Dovillio. As a matter of fact, there are several Arky players that have put in ten times of the work of some of our locals. :(

This just goes to show, who can man up and who isn't worth wasting your time on. :o

Thanks to all of the Arkansas golfers that have given their time, gas, money and sweat for the 2006 Am Worlds. :D
And Thanks to Denny Reeves, his official tee pad at Dovillio is #15 and his efforts continue as we use his equipment this coming Friday. :D

Well had a great time in tulsa, only had one really bad round +6 at McClure horrible, +3 at dovillio, -1 at hunter, +6 at haikey, we were playing haikey all par 3. Kyle Dasun and I all tied at haikey. I thought i had hog tag 1.

Alright people... Tulsa needs our help this Friday. Tee pads will be pourd and then they need to be watched to keep things off them, starting around 8am. It's asking alot to take off work but if your off and not doing anything this is the day to help. Come on, it's for worlds.

So ELEVEN people showed to pour concrete in tulsa last friday. I am impressed to see so many dedicated golfers in our area...due to Daryl and Watson, Arkansas constituted almost twenty percent of their Am Worlds workforce! Let's start making fun of them...that's just lazy. :DDaryl and myself will be there next friday to pour "OnyKwentara" (that's Red for those of you that haven't discovered Mohawk yet).

Mohawk Update:

All of the tee pads are in, all of the tee poles are in. They were finishing getting dirt around all of the black pads last night. All we should have left to do out there is finish cleaning up the concrete and haul off the old lumber. If anyone wants that lumber go and get it. ;)

I will get a bob cat for one more day out there for the final clean up next weekend. We will weed eat, mow and get it ready for the world to see.

Thanks to everyone that has worked on these courses, it has been a real experience. :o:D

Wives and children welcome. There will be games for the kiddos and we will have bookoo fireworks. I will even st up a mini course through the trees for night golf.

We are having Billy Rays cater and my brother inlaw is brining 3 kegs of Texas beer. :o

So if you;re not drinking beer, all you need to bring are your dinks and a side dish or desert. We will have everthing else.

If you would like to come, we would love to have you.

That's just what I heard so maybe Rhett or Red will show up and clarify their side of the story. :confused:

Another idea which I would hope to be the problem is that I noticed the Tulsa site is right at 300 threads with over 30,000+ posts. Maybe we have used all the space allocated to us on the server. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif....I would prefer this to be the case because locking everyone out from posting because the acts of a few is just lame. I say punish the individual not the whole group. If this is the case then Rhett is taking things a little personal these days. :(....Which is sad because someone in his position should have a thicker skin. :confused:

It is true I had a series of Pm's with Rhett. And yet they were hostile in nature, but they were instigated by Rhett.

And besides, he cannot punish the whole thread for one guys actions...even if I had done anything wrong.

The point is this.

I have sent two Pm's and am about to send my second e-mail to Rhett personally (eamil address deleted) to see if he will even respond.

This is an outrage and if it is true that Rhett has killed the Tulsa board then I think he has overstepped his powers and outlived his usefullness....

Also, the more the PDGA hears about this, the better chance we have for getting it back up. I have already called the PDGA office and complained......

I just got off the phone with Rhett himself and he says he is going to turn it back on later today.

But,

I need to warn everyone that once he gets it back online there should be no "Rhett Bashing" I spoke to the man and he sounded very sincere about what he is trying to do.

Also, He told me that after this (warning) the next step is banning people (which is not what he wants to do) or killing the whole thread forever.

Arkies, thank you for letting us use your board.

Because of Mr. Stroh's EXTREME disciplinary action we are now 1 day behind the AM Worlds schedule. :o Good thing we have been working our butts off to get where we are now.

We should move our activity to another discussion board, that way the PDGA DISCussion will not look as active without us. Look at our numbers vs. other club boards, we have a lot of slackers posting crap during the day :D Without us the PDGA message board activity will drop significantly.

JT the Brick just started a new message board that is pretty cool, and you can say a curse word without getting reprimanded. We can take care of all our local happenings somewhere else and be just as organized as we are now.

Just a thought.....

Easy Rhett, no one is bashing anyone here. We don't want to provoke anyone.

I called the Disc Golf Center and the guy I spoke with told me the same thing.

It was just a guess by him.
