May Pole Jam

The May Pole Jam monthly will be held on May 21 at Cedar Hills park.

Tee time is 10:00 (Please arrive early to sign up 9:30-9:45)

The pins are in the gold placement at cedar hills currently.

Entry is $10 for pros and $5 for ams.

$1 ace pool optional. The ace pool is currently at $0 as it was hit at kentwood last month.

Craig Ramsdell will be running this event.

Good time at the monthly today - thanks Craig for running it. We had a contest to pick up the most trash - Craig donated 2 shirts and a flashlight for the contest, so we shot some golf and picked up some trash.

Results - Adv and Pro played long, ams played shorts except for 10 - all pins were in the gold placements.

A very good turnout of 22 players considering the PDGA event in the neighborhood. A beautiful day to play golf. Lots of sun, but a little windy in the afternoon.

We "Greened up" Cedar Hills with the clean up contest. As the first round went on it was hard to find any litter.

In other news....

I saw Connor Boing do something I've never seen on any course anywhere today.

On 8, his shot barely clears the logs. I then say well at least its in.

The disc then rolls over the logs BACKWARDS. It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen and really wish someone was standing by the disc to explain how a disc would hop backwards and generate enough power to roll over those huge logs.

Crazy crazy stuff.

Sorry saw MTL's post on craziness. Ed Williams at the USDGC one year on old 17 threw his side arm outside the bales of hay and hopped backwards back in bounds. He did this in 2 seperate rounds. Sorry for getting side tracked.
