Sorry I didn't get there in time today guys. We left before the message was posted, ran into Alma to get TreeShark, got to the Extravaganza and saw it cost $10 to get in, backtracked to Greenland to play the course there, grabbed some lunch, took the wrong exit into Fayetteville, and long story not so short :D got to the course right at 2:00pm!!
It's a shame for ya'll too because we both had a horrible round of putting (I shot +4, John was +8) that would be some easy Alma money. Maybe another day! See you then!

Yes indeed, I talked with Kelly and Kelly, and said we will accomodate. I will probably add some of the mini entry fees to the collection. Just be there at Kelly Lane park Sat. May 6th @10:00 am first round singles, Again @ 2:30 there will be a draw /flip dubs. Each round will be 7.00$ One dollar for ace, Two dollars for FUND, and you play for 4 dollars. All cash paid out. Plus you play for any cool stuff I dig up to give away, or any cool stuff you wanna bring for us to give away :DBut mainly, you play for the love of the game and to support a fellow golfer and family. :) , Oh, the course is looking good, and remember it is 12.00 for a set (disc/tee) and first come basis. For anyone who thought the old Alma was a little too easy. Here is a difficulty update. The bottom 7 holes are gone and are now in the woods with some tight fairways that make Northshore look wide open, one in particular is real tight (Devil's Fork #9 or 10).
I played it Friday and while I did have some off shots I also had some good shots and played it to a +8 where I used to shoot consistently even to -2 at the old course.
It is still a pretty short course at right around 4500' but the woods shots make up for it in difficulty.
Come on out today at 2:00 and see what you think about the new course. Should be a lot of fun!!

Have you guys done any changes to the course since June? I saw the change on 18, it makes much more sense that way, and its a better hole than the previous. Arkansas WILL win on Saturday, we can wager and Ill come to Sunday league to collect :mad:
Also, my fiance's little brother is starting school there this year and is a pretty decent golfer. He grew up in Norman so knows some fairly good courses already. Ill try to get him out to meet some guys Saturday morning at league...but im really looking forward to Friday evening, Ive got some new "goodies" and I m ready for a few nice rounds of "slingin them thangs"

This division will consist of at least 6-8 players to a card. Cards will be chosen on a random basis. Players will draw cards to determine who plays on each card.

This will be a single round match of 18 holes. All PDGA rules apply. All tied or capped holes will be carried over to the next hole. In the event that there are holes that have been carried through hole 18, a sudden death play off for those skins will be started on hole #1. Any player not matching the best score on a sudden death play off hole will be eliminated from the match. This will continue until a single player wins all of the carried skins. To help with the speed of play, any player that cannot win or cap the hole shall pick up and move to the next hole. The winner of any skin(s) shall have the right to choose his order of play on the next hole. He can choose to tee off in the first position or the tee off in the last position.

From Hwy 412 (Springdale) go 3 miles south on Hwy 71 to a left at brown North Lake Fayetteville sign. Go by Lewis&amp;Clark store and past marina to the course at end of street.

If nothing else I will go out there and wonder around through the course.

You can, its only a short 1.5 hour drive from Fayetteville and you will be playing for big $$$ at your favorite course, Black hawk. :D

The best public course in Ar. is at Ben Geren park. That will change as soon as JB Hunt is completed. JB Hunt has the potential to be an awesome course. It can have everything: open long fairways, technical tree shots, uphill and downhill shots, and even a creek for those who insist on going OB. This park just sits there, unused. We need to hit the streets, get the hole sponsors and get this course installed. This crappy winter weather is a good time to redirect the energy from playing to getting sponsors.

Does it have 40 ft bluffs you can throw your buddy off if he's kickin your butt?Alma baby,I ain't done with that one yet.Tee pads and alternates will make that one #1.Ben Geren is clean but doesn't challenge you like Alma.I'm sure this new park is killer.But i've NEVER seen terrain like Alma.Or at least the combination of all these in one place.Plus,The facilities.Mayor Ballentine was uncontested in his race for Mayor.I'm even hoping we can add 9 baskets someday.If we had the $ it would be done.Those woods go on forever by that lake.BG will be adding 9 as well.Man!!!
