Anyone ever seen/done this?

http://www.geocaching.com/ It is a website that gives you GPS coordinates to little "geo" treasures all over the world. Click the link and enter a zip code near you to see if there are any treasures in that area. I freaked out when I entered 76040, clicked on the last one named "kitty kitty" and found out that there is a treasure ON MY STREET somewhere near the Euless Yacht Club!!!!

....and one at Veterans Park disc golf course!!!! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=69d991a7-602e-43d1-8df6-db9d8840dd8b

LOL.....

It appears that you can take the treasure as long as you leave a treasure.

Bring your GPS, we'll find it Sunday.

Let's bag the booty, and leave a disc and a mini-ultrastar! :D

Pretty cool, huh?

Here's another disc golf course in the DFW area....Lake Park, Lewisville..... Looks like 3 stages to do before you find the "RC can".

It actually has become quite popular. Since it's inception in 2000, there are now more than 220,000 caches, or "treasures" if you will, in over 220 countries!!!!

If only PDGA stuff grew that fast...... :D

Some of these are ammo cans.....which is large enough to leave a mini-ultrastar!

I don't have anymore adult peep show tokens....... :D

No time to hunt last weekend......... This weekend looks really wet. We are expecting a total of 3 inches of rain Sat and Sun.

The park is loaded with them. Our time will come. :D

seek the following cache at zip code 16066...

Knob Hill Disc Golf Cache

Looks like these folks are disc golfers, too! Their instructions require you to calculate distances using the footage on our tee signs!

A teammate and friend, Adam Goodman is going to release a disc/frisbee golfing "Travel Bug." A travel bug is an item/treasure that has a specific goal. Adam is going to require that this travel bug be hidden in caches at disc golf courses only. Also, the geocachers that find it must take a picture of the item(probably a mini disc) near a basket, teepad, or tee sign.

In fact, there is a travel bug in the game whose sole purpose is to log as many miles as possible. It is up to 22,000 miles!! It's been 2/3 the way around the WORLD!

Nolan and i got within 6 feet of three different caches, but it was raining so hard that we didn't want to "swim" through the trees/underbrush and become even wetter than we already were.

The great thing about these caches, is people don't find them accidentally. So, they'll be there the us to find next time.
