What courses will be played?

Probably the Monster.

Or the Original.

Maybe both.

Given that the weather is so unpredictable this time of year, no prognostication carries much weight, so you should be prepared for all options.

I'm considering coming for this tourney. Daemon, are you playing Am or Pro?

You guys need to persuade me to come. Are you expecing a good number of people?

There is an unsactioned tourney here in GR that I will play if I don't head to the meltdown.

Yeah, with the crowds at HM, we like to start early and at least feel for a while like we have some elbow room on the course. This time of year its not an issue, but in a few weeks that place will be packed by noon and the cars will be rolling in steadily... Besides, we're mostly geezers who get up early anyways during the week, so I can sleep in and still make a 9 am tee time, no problem.

The spread includes pancakes and sausage. The 'cakes are pretty good, sausage fair, and syrup mighty tasty.

Awesome. What a great deal for 3.50. They say all you can eat, but they're not prepared for disc golfers! :DCome on down ZV! We usually have a good turnout for MM, and it's calling for some good weather. Which division should I play to persuade you to come?

I'll play pro or am1, doesn't matter much to me. I'd just like to be in the same division as some of the folks I'll be playing against all year long.....You, Bob and some of the other Advanced powers. still not sure If I'm coming...I could just play in the unsanctioned 3 miles from my place.......

Well, I'm playing Open, and so Bob will play Open as well. If you come I bet there will be about 15 Open players. I think there were over 10 at Chills at the Mills in January. You know you love Hudson! Come on down!

****, I'm oncall this weekend -- if all is clear Sunday morning, I may roll the dice and play Pro Masters since it is only $20

Am2 was pretty heated between the top two. I was a part of the top card in the second round (played like trash, ended up out of the prize, boo)... and it was exciting to watch. Robert Snow and Aron (Aaron? his discs said A-Ron) Leopold played some solid rounds out there. Aron was up by three at the start of the round, but Rob came charging hard and pulled within one. At one point, coming up to the monster hole, Aron was -2 and Rob was -4, a one stroke match. In the end their scores came back up a little with Aron shooting +1 on the round (done in by a bad short putt on 18) and Rob shooting even par.

The winning score in Am2 as Aron's (-7/+1) -6, with Rob's (-4, E) -4 in second.

It was a great duel between them, and as Aron said it was only his fourth tournament I look forward to playing with him and Rob both in the future! Both great guys to talk to and play a round with throughout!

Overall the tournament was great! My only complaint was the lack of extra holes played... I was coming in counting on 48 holes of disc golf... Looking back in hindsight I think the extra 12 would have only taken an extra hour, leaving plenty of daylight... but oh well, 12 more holes for me would have only meant more potential ugliness on the final score /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
