Michigan Disc Golfers,

In case the word hasn't spread, the Michigan Disc Golf Organization website has been updated to show information for 2006 (www.mdgo.org).

Included is the Michigan Disc Golf schedule and details about the 2006 Michigan Disc Golf Championship Tournament on Labor Day Weekend.

Thanks to John Minicuci who has done all the work in creating the new MDGO website!

In order that I don't wait too long to announce it, the Michigan representative to the USDGC will be awarded to the highest finishing, not-already-invited competitor in the Open Pro division at the Championship Tournament.

Way to go John. Every disc golfer in the state of Michigan owes you a giant debt of gratitude. Especially us here in Metro Detroit.

Everyone go to a Flying Saucer Tourny this year you wont be disappointed! :D

This looks really cool. It seems to be much more focused and better organized than in the past. I have a question Paul: If I qualify for a berth in AM1, can I play Open at the finals and try to qualify for USDGC?

I'm not sure whether this was decided for sure, Daemon, but I'm pretty sure that once you earn a Berth, you can play in any offered PDGA division that you qualify for. Good luck in getting that USDGC spot!

That is sweet. Now I have a mission for the year. Stay Am but play USDGC!! I'll have to do a little bit better at Lumberjack than I did at CPC. And BTW, I didn't have to get DQ'd, the 2nd round at CPC won't be counted anyway! :D
