bit of a shame to have no kingsley event as they are talkin concrete pads this spring and its a fun course
no kalkaska either (though I've never played that one some folks really like it...)
and lake ann was a fun course too...

seems there's room for some upstaters to put on other events to showcase these courses and 'round out their summer schedule perhaps... (the kal-kingsley fling? or cadillac/kingsley? or kalkaska/boyne mtn?)

wonder if the yearly schedule might rotate around a bit to sometimes revisit these old NWS haunts? though I do like the mix this year and hope to make at least the 4 event minimum...

shanty ponied up extra cash last year as I'm sure you know so I can understand keeping them on as a sponser even if their course isn't quite as balanced as some... its also a plush facility...

I see st ignace on wildman's schedule too, may have to make an exploratroy trip up there when we thaw out a bit... like maybe june or so

thanks for the info Z, lookin forward to plannin the summer...

here's what's left if you make it up north...
ya know, cuz gas is so cheap & all :o
bummer 'bout the midland/petoskey overlap this weekend
I edited the finals eligability number to 3 which I think is correct and I think the dates are also still valid...

Its a pretty good course considering what they had to work with. Good mix of tight and open. Have fun on the two 600ft+ cliffhangers. Stay in the fairway, and some low numbers will be shot. Get in the U.P. cedar dominated woods and you are finished....This rough is nasty.

take a look on 18 for Sean Mackenzie's drivers....
He lost them last year from atop the ski run.

He sent his ladyfriend halfway down to spot, but when they both got there, the rough was ROUGH! Neck-high stuff. Roc up the middle!!!!

finals report 10/28petoskey 10/29boyne city
3rounds (2sat, 1sun then the top4 played skinz); 1st lotta rain with steady wind & some gusts, 2nd lotsa gusts with some rain, 3rd(sun) breezy cool & some rain, some clear...
nice job on posting the results (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=5871) so quickly
a summary of playing in the sideways wind and rain is a par round rated 1023...wow that was some Stormy survivalGolf
lots of fun trying to play through mom nature and a brutal lesson in physics at times- like a second attempt at getting out of some schule going 20 feet up and then 100 feet back (7 on that hole)... seems like you needed a hard snap with a deliberate flight path (tomahawks worked decently too) and a hard downwind and lighter touch headwind putt- all things mostly absent from my bag I guess...
great golfin by the top 5 am1s in my division, way to play well in spite of it all and it was a pleasure to share a couple daze golfin with everyone...

and because we had to scurry away back to the real world- how'd the skins thang work out?
