RADL Meeting is this tuesday. We should have all info posted for Buckhorn and Am Xtown after tuesday's meeting.
It is good that we have the intrest we do in these events. Due to a change in leadership we are trying to catch up. We hope to get information about events and courses out to more people.
If you have questions/concerns about RADL events ask me via pm. But remember we can't fix suck. Let us know why you felt something sucked. Without knowing what made something bad it is hard to fix problems.

HA! Chris you are a funny one.
Buckhorn is not historically a very woman-populated tournament. I remeber Mandi mentioning something about some bribery taking place a few years back... ;) I won't be there, and I can't really think of any local adv. ladies that are likely to play. Sorry!

Scott and I are still working out the details. It looks like Kyle will be sponsoring a hole and providing drink and food specials. (working on getting some free stuff) The bar has several TVs and a large flat screen.
I live less than 8 miles from the course and a mile form the bar. I will be opening up my house that weekend to anyone that needs a place to stay. Feel free to contact me (pm) if you need a place to stay. Possible hold’em tourney at my house after the players party.

Seriously, I'd much rather have nuclear plants than have coal-powered plants killing people on both ends (getting the coal out of the mine, and from the pollution).

I am thinking about driving down there tomorrow to get a round or 2 in before the superbowl. I am thinking about trying to get there by 1. Get a round in from the shorts, then getting a quick round in from the longs.
Anyone feel like joining me?

The workday went well this weekend. We were able to install double chains on all but one basket before we ran out of materials. If anybody would like to donate the materials to finish adding double chains let me know and I will make sure that the basket has the chains installed before the event.
Thanks to Scott Anderson, Walt Haney, Drew Pasteur, J Clark, and Jeff Kozak for helping us get this course ready for the event.

Buckhorn update!!!
Jersey Mikes will be taking Lunch orders Saturday and Sunday Morning. Please order a sandwich with them if you can. There is not much food close by so this is a good option for people. We will only have a 45 minute lunch break each day due to the limited daylight at this time of year.
We would like to thank the Great Outdoor Provision company for their continued support of disc golf in this area. Look forward to some good stuff from this company including the chance to win a VERY nice jacket for an ace on a particular hole. If you can stop in and let them know you appreciate all they are doing in this area and try to purchase some merchandise as well.
Tee time is at 9:30. Players meeting is at 9:10. You must sign you card by 9:10 or your spot will be given to the next person on the wait list present.
If you need Scott's Phone number or my phone number PM me and I will be happy to provide these for you. We can not guarantee that the phones will work from the course though. The reception is not real good at the course.

Virginia Team Invitational (VTI)
RADL will be using the Buckhorn Open to qualify our 4th Open position for the VTI.
Here are the requirements:
Highest finish in the Open division not already on Team RADL.
Must be either a 2005 or 2006 RADL Member.
Must be able to afford the VTI entry fee.
Must be able to compete in Northern VA March 18th & 19th.
If you should have any questions please send me an email at:
captain@mindspring.com
or
kyoo@coastalfcu.org
I am curious about this event:
How many players Represent a Team? How many Teams are there competing?
I can see that 1 Open and 2 Adv players can qualify (BO and AM XTown).
Are there some players that allready qualified for the team?
Are the any specific rules the VTI has for the make up of the Teams?
Just have not heard much about details on this and congrats to Team RADL for being the current Champs!

The current RADL Team is:
Walter Haney
Larry Leonard
Brian McRee
TBD
Carlton Howard
Kirk Yoo

Terry Frank
To answer the Frizzie question...a Charlotte player would be welcome but you would have to meet the criteria listed earlier....2005 or 2006 RADL Member, etc.
i think there should be at least 1 grand master on the team----lol----(sorry capt. couldn't resist)

Dale,
I will suggest it to John.
The VTI is John's brainchild. It is one of the most fun events I have ever played in.

Scratch out "one of" and replace it with "the" and I would agree with that.
I honestly thought about not turning pro till after this years VTI just to play it again - it is that great of an event.

Are you taking yourself out of the running for a TT spoTT??? I don't think Nate is gonna go, so speak now or forever hold your scar.
Cool thanks for the infomation kirk, lets see a TWO-PEAT for RADL!

Robert,
I have played a lot more events and places than you have so I am going to stick with "one of".
Neil,
That is the plan. I am trying to kind of stack the deck in RADL's favor. If I get the Open player I am hoping for the average rating for the Open players will be 1015. The upside to that is that whoever is the 4th seeded Open player is likely to have a fairly easy time at the VTI. I believe last years 4th seed won every match.

Hey Kirk, noticed you were just $21 away from getting a touring player's card. Think about it, that's less than 1 putt! Craziness. David Harless got his by just $8.
Just thought that was an interesting stat.

The worst part about that Matt is that I really did make it but the data input by at least 2 events is incorrect.
Not a big deal though.

**** you hole 17....**** it all to hell
how about a double circle snowman on the hole in the second round.
Suggestion...move the drop zone tee pad back about 3 feet so that you don't have to step over a root that is sticking out of the ground in the middle of the pad.
