View Full Version : Ace Pots?
I have heard other people talking about these on the forums. im sure i dont have to explain them.
dio we have them an any holes here in rochester? and if so what is nesessary to prove that you got a hole in one? im assuming it has to be during a tournement.
i have come wayyy to close to acing holes 4 and 14 at basil and 1 at parma......
hmmmm, kinda sad that no one checks these anymore....
Howdy,
Ace pools or Ace pots are generally created and awarded during some type of organized play (weekly league or tournaments).
Test your *metal* this coming Saturday at the ACES event at Churchville. The combined ace pool will probably be in the area of $150. Be the only one to ace during that event and it's all yours!

i was thinking about going to that, but thats the one course ive never played before. too late to take off of work now too.
i figured that they would have to be during events since basically anyone could claim an ace. although, i swear im close....
dont think i could ever get an ace in a tourny, im horrible under any pressure or when i know some really skilled players are watching.
jgarcia, rochester has ace pools at every tourney and yes, only at tourney's (player money sponsors ace pools) there are also "bounty's" at certain holes,e.g., at the Chili course getting a 2 on hole #11 or a 2 at ellisons #17, basils #8 ect. They are also done at tourney's only(the only true way to confirm them) As far as no one reading these forums ,All I can say is that you have other options to get heard in the western NY disc golf community. Please register at both the niagra region disc golf website website, www.nrdg.net (http://www.nrdg.net) and central new york disc golf association web site www.cnydga.org (http://www.cnydga.org) , they both have active message boards more active in local happenings. The rochester disc golf club's website currently does not have a message board , but it is updated regularly with local info on disc golf in rochester. The web address is www.discgolfrochester.com. (http://www.discgolfrochester.com.) As far as your play in tournaments , you should try our little one day events at ellison park (next one is saturday sept. 10th, usually just local amateurs play and one or two local pro's show when not touring) these local tourney's may prove less intimidating for you. I will be at this tourney , so why don't you come down and intro yourself and I assure you, you will have a good time and meet some pretty cool people.Hey , you may be able to even learn a little from us. I'm John Whitney when you get there.you can also e-mail me at john10693@aol.com if you have anymore questions about WNY disc golf.
Later
John
