View Full Version : MAD CITY OPEN 2005

Jul 21 2005, 10:13 AM
Hello fellow disc golfers. The annual Mad City Open disc golf tourney is just around the corner on Aug 27-28. This will be a ONE day event each division. With all AM divisions playing at Elver park on Saturday, and all ADV. and PRO divisions playing Hiestand and Token Creek on Sunday. We will be doing a very nice raffle that will include various discs, clothing, and a Brand New Gateway Titan basket. If you have not seen the Titan yet, it is by far the beefiest basket ever made! Also we will be doing a players party and Saturday night doubles @ Elver after the AM divisions are finished. It will be a divisional random draw/ best shot format. With the divisions being AM and PRO. The players party will feature a half-barrel of Angelic Ale for those who are of age. :cool:Camping is available at Token Creek group campsite for $4 a person. Make sure to pre-register as there will be an added fee for registering after Aug 19th. You can find registration forms at our tourney website, www.dusterdon.com. (http://www.dusterdon.com.) Hope to see you all there as it should be a great weekend of disc golf in the Mad City. Fly on!

Hello all! The late entry deadline is growing near so don't forget to send in your pre-registration forms this week to avoid the added $10 late fee. So register before Aug. 19th to save some $$$! It looks like we will have $1,000 added to the pro purse and will be doing two seperate raffles, one for each day. We will be raffling off a disc golf basket for both days. Once again the tourney website is www.dusterdon.com. (http://www.dusterdon.com.) Hope to see everyone there. Happy flights!

I think I heard it's at Token Creek at 9:30am so does this mean we are playing Token Creek first?

The information is on Duster's site. The players meeting is at 9:27 at Token. If you are preregeistered players should sign in by 9:15 or risk losing your spot.

I just want to thank everyone who came out and helped and/ or supported this great tourney. It was an exceptional weekend of golf and immaculate weather. Without the hard work of many dedicated folks in the disc golf community in Madison this would not have been possible. I hope that everyone in attendance had a good time, and we are looking ahead to next year already to try and make this an even bigger and better event. Madison disc golf is an incredible scene and I am very proud to be a part of it!!!!!

I had a great time. I'll be back next year.

That beer after the tournament was a great way to unwind and chat with new and old friends.

Thank you to all the folks that helped put this great event on. I appreciate your efforts.

I agree... the MCO was tons of fun. I thought the doubles on Saturday night with the beer was a great idea. I hope they do it again next year. The weather was beautiful and the courses were too on Sunday. Look forward to next year. Thanks to all who helped make it possible. Kudos to all the vendor's that showed up. That was great.
