I would have loved to, Im already back in St. Louis. We have a tournament tomorrow that I cant pass up. Giving away 3 baskets, bags, discs, cardinals box seat tickets and free beer and BBQ. I have been kicking myself in the arse about selling Ganzel my basket 2 years ago when I thought I wasnt going to be playing much anymore so I really want to win one..
I found an orange disc on hole 2 at northshore with "pitch" on it. Looks like a wildcat. I held on to it because I'll be coming back through in a few weeks, so if anyone knows who belongs to this disc Im sure it wants to go home.

What a way to wake up,Coffee, Momma lookin sweet as always,And this.It definately puts a smile on my face.I think one of the biggest draws to this sport back when I began this journey.(WAY BACK!)Was the mentality of the people. They're Mental like me.Feels so good to be back with my people. It's such a trippy crowd.I'm definately home now.Gotta go now,Check out all these sweet goodies Innova sent me.Got three places in the area stocking Innova stuff. They're so grateful ,I get goodies. Can someone tell me how to stop these messenger pop ups?I'm pretty new to computers.Never thought i'd be using one as much as I do now.I've already crashed this one once.I'm always learning things the hard way.Same as in Golf.

Yo arkies...

I am headed to Arkansas next week to take my lady down the buffalo river. I am looking for some info from you locals on the best place to camp and the best place to float. We are bringing the RV so we will need the standard hook-ups.

How close is horseshoe to the Buffalo?

Thanks for any help you can offer...

The best place to camp by far would be on the ground.

The best place to float would be in the river.

Does that help? :D

I don't know where exactley you are planning to be on the Buffalo. But,The prettiest place i've seen there is in the Harrison area.UNBELIEVEABLE.Prettiest country in AR.The White The Buffalo and The Illinios are all up in that area.Have Fun.

Ah, one of the things I miss most about NWA. The buffalo will be a fun trip but it might be a bit low in the hot spots, ie. upper buffalo. Good fishing and pleasurable floating can be found on the lower buffalo, but again its not as scenic and not as fast. If you get rain and you are an experienced boater (canoe/kayak) the Mulberry is THE BEST river to take charge of. Go to turnerbend.com and it will take you to anywhere you need to know about.

What up Ganzel. How would you know about JB or Sioux? I played Northshore last week. Very nice job what you guys have done. I would like to have played from the blue/pro tees however. Lots of different shots, much better than Gulley except the "scenery".

you can always count on wise for direction in life...THANKS WISE!

i saw the other posts. I will check them out. We don't feel like hitting up the Illinois again here in OK so we will either do the ELK or Buffalo. Will also check out the other one turbo mentioned.

Too bad you don't feel like the illinois again. There is a MAJOR party on the river July 30th. I have had my rooms reserved for a while now. It will be a blast. 18 holes Disc golf, floating, horseshoes, pool, just sitting in the river..........and so on. its being put on by Sooner Disc golf, but thats okay, we can take it over from them. :D

There are many other outdoor attractions in the area...Ozark Highlands Trail, Blanchard Springs Caverns, the fishing on the Kings River is a great treat. An easy float with lots of trophy small mouths for the taking.
Turbo

Jun 21 2005, 06:23 PM
is the ozark trail the best for hiking...we will prob hike one day and float one day. furdog said to check out the lower buffalo state park....is that close to the good hiking? we would consider good hiking something with a view and possibly some boulder type climbing along the way...

is horseshoe close to this area?

Jun 21 2005, 11:17 PM
If you are looking for a some good camping on the Buffalo I would recommend Kyle's Landing. It has some great spots on the river. The Buffalo is the best. It is about 10 minutes from Jasper.

Jun 22 2005, 01:28 AM
The rivers of NWA are really low right now. It's going to take major rain over several days to raise the water levels. The lower Buffalo should still be okay. Check out Cloudland (www.cloudland.net) for a link to the Ozark Highlands trail.

Jun 22 2005, 02:32 PM
sweet...we are going to go to buffalo point and just float and hike around there. thanks for letting me know about the water. buffalo point is on the lower side i think so we will be good to go... :D

If anyone else got that. I'll be back in town next weekend (Friday-Monday) for a wedding and would love to play Northshore with someone who knows the course. I got to play some of the holes last time through but because of the previous night's rain and my upcoming drive I didn't play the whole course but did walk it. Very impressed. And proud about the progress and potential you guys are looking at. I'm starting grad school at University of Illinois this fall and all they have is a 9 hole course, not a bad one but.....60,000 students versus 20,000 student-town and from what I recall a much better golfing culture. Hope to see some familiar faces and surely some new ones.
