Big Fling this Sunday!

EVERYONE is invited to Appleton's Plamann Park this Sunday, June 5, to experience The Big Fling. From 10 am to noon local pros will teach beginners how to play this great sport. This clinic is FREE to all who are interested. Discs will be provided. Lunch follows. The afternoon includes a competition for four divisions. Beginners and youth under 16 will play a 9-hole course. Advanced and pros (and youth who are experienced golfers) will tackle an 18-hole layout. Now, to make things interesting, both courses include some temporary basket locations that will never be seen again, so get out and have some fun at the only disc golf competition at Plamann this year!

The event will also include a 9-hole mini course and other games for kids. This is family-friendly event that benefits a non-profit organization, The Fox Valley Sibling Support Network. To help raise funds for this great organization, we're asking for either a $25 fee to compete in the afternoon or you can get people to sponsor you. We have tons of prizes for all divisions, including a $125 cash prize for the top pro finisher. Players' packages include a custom stamped Big Fling disc, towel, mini, and gift certificates galore. This will be a fun event.

Plus, we'll have several Jumbo Putts, starting at 3:30. Again, lots of prizes and fun for everyone.
