Pros vs. Cons? Anyone still using these, and for what?
10 Time KC Pro Eagle 161 grams
I use this as my "indecisive" disc. In other words, when I am in between driving with a mid range or a long bomb driver such as an Orc, I will pull out the Eagle and it represents the awesome bird that it is named after. Cannot say anything bad about this disc.

I use a 10x KC Pro (seasoned) for annys, and use a old school CE for all around play. The lack of speed, compared w/most of the newer drivers, will turn alot of folks off, but I find it is a great disc to control.
I also noticed Zone Driven offering a XOUT Pro Eagle. I've gotta guess that'll be the next mold released in the new Pro plastic.

The Eagle Rocks!!!!!!
I still throw them - mainly the CE Glo, but I still have the 11X, The Champion and the CE ones as backups.
I use them for 280 - 300 foot spike hyzers, skip shots and as my hyzer driver from 320 - 350 - very durable and very consistent
I still have 2 ce eagles, one is a first run that I throw thumbers with, very predictable. I have another that is brand new, and in reserve, Also have a just broken in champ version, which I think is very similar to the ce versions. I used to throw them all the time, however, with some of the newer, faster drivers out there now...( starfires ) I find myself using the eagles less and less.
discdawg.. im guessing they were referring to Pro as the old Proline Eagles.... Before they switched over and started calling it champion line.. that's my guess.. but in that case i highly suggest you pick some up.

I still use my old DX Eagle for straight shots after I've already worn my arm out from a few rounds

168g DX Eagle for straight drives with a little left sweep at the end. Holds the line great and is my "over water" disc of choice since it flies so nice and DX is cheap.
When it gets beat up it makes a great long range roller, so it also has a good lifespan for me. That makes it a no brainer to keep in my bag.

Any other thoughts about the current Champion version? All I've heard about that is "shorter and more overstable."

I throw Champion Eagles. The first Eagles I threw were the 10x KC's. I lost one in the water, had one stolen by a group that played through while looking for another player's disc, and only had one left. I decided to switch to the Champions rather than worry about throwing the last disc I had from that run. A new Champion is slightly more overstable than a new 10x KC but they're not all that different.
The newer champion eagle is a great disc for controlled midlength drives that you don't want straying left. This disc will hold a decent line when thrown hard and then drop left heavily at the end. It won't set any distance records either, but is a worthy disc. I threw a 10X KC eagle recently and it was actually understable, almost to the point where it was useless. Totally different than a current version.

I must admit to being confused by all the CE, Champion, first run, second run etc. chatter. I have old Champion Edition Eagles that are much like the KC Eagles and not quite so old Champion Edition Eagles that are made from the harder, clearer plastic. Anyway, the Eagle is still my bread and butter driver. I carry two CE Eagles (hard and clear), one new and stable, the other about two years old and fairly neutral. I throw one or the other of these for about three-quarters of my longer drives. I roll with a beat KC Eagle. I toyed with the Valkyrie, Beast and Orc for a while, but found that the Eagle flies almost as far for me and is much more predictable (my short, fat fingers never felt comfortable around those big rims). I also throw a Teebird and have recently added a Sidewinder, both of which have rims very similar to the Eagle.

I have a 169 Chmpion Eagle that I just started using for my forehand driver. Very stable and consistent fade at the end. I also like that the rim isn't as wide as an Orc/Beast and I feel that with a forehand drive, this allows me to get a better grip on the disc.

The Eagle is the prototype disc golf driver. Jack of all trades, but ace of none...In other words there is a better disc on the market for anything you might do with the Eagle, but few other discs that will do them ALL (backhand, forehand, overhand, straight, hyzer, anhyzer, "S" shots, etc.) as well.
You forgot to mention backhand rollers.

You forgot to mention backhand rollers.
Yeah, forget what I said before. Eagles suck for this shot. ;)
