View Full Version : Any suggestions?

My buddy and I will be up in Eugene this Monday and Tuesday. Forcast says "possible" rain on Monday, so we were hoping to play while we were there. I know it's been raining there all week and will continue through at least Sunday, but what course is the least sloppy in these "wet times"? Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Dexter should be your first choice. It can be muddy in places and has a few big puddles during heavy rains, but it is much better than Westmoreland. There are a couple of holes on the side of a low ridge that are slippery but not much of a problem. Watch for the poison oak, the warm weather winter we've had is making the poak grow. If you get a chance you might want to drive down to Whistler's Bend and play that beautiful course on the North Umpqua. It's about 1 1/2 hours drive south of Eugene.
Good luck and good drives.

Yeah play whistlers bend, the best in oregon IMO. If not then definetly Dexter.

Glad to hear you had fun. I severly miss dexter, its a great course. How did you like the two holes across the road? Real killers. Peace.

Not sure what holes you are talking about (numbers?). 18 was like 525ft which is way far for my weak throws. I loved #3 where you throw down the hill through the trees.

I was refering to holes 6 and 7. You go across the road, your score gets severly beaten up by those two, and then come back. Eighteen is pretty far, I m always happy to par it. 3 is pretty sweet too. Two can be a real disc eater if you go to far right. Great course, really miss it.
