Mar 09 2005, 05:58 PM
does alberta have a team yet? no
does alberta have a captain? no
does bc have a captain and a team selected? yes
what is the delay, april 30th is only a month and a half away.
how is the alberta team going to be selected fairly? who should captain?
i think cbj or maybe steve limin should captain
i also think the team members could include dakiv, rudy v, ryan powell, shawn nicol, elijah, chad gamelin, steve limin, andrew pickup, ben ellard, gil v, pete v...
i also think the bruce star should ride with the team as a form of support or cheerleading!

i forgot a few names, armin as a captain, and lukie as a team member. i would also add kris p. but he is in the cayman islands,
teams could be organized as such:
dakiv-elijah
powell-nicol
rudyv-petev
ben-andrew
limin-gamelin or
lukie-gamelin
these are some ideas to start on better act quick or bc will run away with the first ryder cup.

How's the team comin' boys? We have ours figured and pairings are preparing...who will be the first rocky mtn. champs?

Mar 12 2005, 01:40 AM
I've got 10 bucks that says the Champ will be from Alberta!

Side bets!!

Any team that is willing to pass on a former Alberta Tour Champ (Dennis Millet....living in Victoria)....doesn't stand a hope in hell.

Good luck ladies!! Let the trash talk begin!!

Hey everyone.

The team is picked. There will be 3 rounds of action. A best shot doubles, Alternate shot doubles, and final round singles.

For spectators who want to come out and cheer on the team, there will be some random draw doubles going on out there in between rounds.

Your Alberta Team is represented by:

Captain: Don Annett (not playing)
Bernie Assen
Lukasz Bruhl
Mark Dakiv
Ben Ellard
Chad Gamelin
Elijah Issac
Shawn Nichol
Ryan Powell
Gil Velasquez
Rudy Verhyde

Start planning your road trip now, and come out and watch us crush those BC boys.

Whether or not BC will be crushed remains to be seen. Just a heads up to the AB team that the Rose Hill upgrades are behind schedule due to an annoying "fly in the ointment" known as another course install. This week-end your favorite BC club will be hard at work installing a 10 basket course (9 + a practise basket/putting green) on the campus of Thompson Rivers University. TRU is located west of Rose Hill and the course will feature unbelievable views, lots of elevation, big D, wicked rubber tee pads, signage and Innova baskets. Stay tuned to www.kdgc.com (http://www.kdgc.com) for details, map & lots of new photos. The TRU course will be the 4th course in the 'Loops and will be a top notch addition. The next time you come to Kamloops be sure to give it a try. Be prepared for a "Scottish Highlands" type course, with only a smattering of Trees but a bunch of wind to contend with.
As for Rose Hill and the AMJ Rocky Mountain Challenge, be advised that you can expect alternate pin placements on most of the front 9 and some alternate tee pads as well. We'll only have April 23rd to get the work done since April 24th is Doomsday #2 at Hidden Castle. There will be some cool stuff to look forward to but it won't be what we were hoping to showcase. Blame it on the TRU course!
See you guys soon, and bring your A Games,
Clinty
