At the March Meltdown, there was a steady 15-25 mph wind all day.1st round red (shorts original) 2nd round blue(longs original)

In Open, Al Schack shot a 49 reds, and 51 blues. Ben Calhoun got the other cash spot in Open, shooting 105 (I think) and beating out Todd Branch (1000 rated). Nice work ben.

In Advanced, Bryan Dixon recorded his first AM1 win, shooting the hot round all day on reds, 47. He ended the day with a 101, shooting even on blues. Diddy ended with one stroke more than Al. Paul Dobberstein got 2nd, 4 or 5 strokes out.

Also-Nice work Sue Stephens, beating Sara DeMar by a ton of strokes. Sue shot a 48 from reds, beating Al Schack by one stroke for the round. Nice!

I THINK that there was a tie for Pro Masters, with Tommy Osborne and Mark Ellis.

Not Local-Big Congrats to Steve Mills, crushing the Memorial's field of almost 100 Advanced this weekend in AZ. His first win ever was an A-tier. sweet

Just wanted to say congrats to some local boys. Dixon on his first Am1 win and to Steve Millz for his first solo win ever. Nice work fellas, were on the way to Michigan dominance again.

So I went up to Battle Creek but got turned away. We played our own doubles version of the lumberjack at coldbrook and robert morris. Anyone have some details about the lumberjack results? Adv + Pro, hopefully?

Mar 16 2005, 11:39 AM
I dont have results but in a online article from Battle Creek that said Pat Vitale had the new course record after the first round but they didnt list scores or places.

At Cracked Plastic there were atleast 20 people turned away.

Mar 16 2005, 01:41 PM
Yep, we had about 20. We had 14 people for 7 dubs teams. For the coldbrook $20/person round, geoff bennet and paulie mouhous schooled people with a 14 under. at Robert morris there were 3 teams at 2 under, and bennet and frame won the CTP

Pat shot even (new record) and +2 (old record).
Tommy Osbourne won masters in a playoff by banking the winning putt off a tree.
Barrett white crushed in the womens division.
That course is tough as hell... I was -2 with two holes to go in the second round... just needed to go bogey-par to set the new new new course record... ended up +2...lol.
I ended up 5th in open... tourney paid 5... close one.

Heeren was 2nd, Schack and LaBond tied for third.
Sue Stephens was 2nd in Womens
Mark Ellis and Leonard (?) tied for second in Masters after the playoff.

thanks for the results.

Hey Todd are you going to be playing in the March Mush this weekend?

The players package at the Lumberjack was a crappy dx, stickers, and hand warmers...very lousy in my mind.

Michigan Dominance is here........

I didn't stick around too long for results, but at the March Mush at Grand Woods this Saturday, the weather was 5hitttty. Rain and then snow for the 1st round, then just a bunch of rain for the 2nd. DJ Hunt shot 6 under 2nd round to get 4 or 5 under for the day and take the AM1 division. Joe Gabrias shot a 3 over matched with a 3 under for 3rd place in AM1, but I dunno who got 2nd. I know that Vagi was in the lead in the Open division after R1, but I didn't catch results. Anyone got the info?

Mar 21 2005, 12:32 PM
Al Schack and Javier Kowalski won open. Tommy O won Masters. DJ Hunt won Am 1. I dont have a clue what any of them shot.

Mar 21 2005, 03:44 PM
Oh yea, I got beat on the ace pool CTP by half a footstep after (someone told me) my disc got knocked away by another toss, and the winner kicked off a tree on the other side of the fairway. Thats always entertaining. Hey Millz how'd you end out? get a CE roc?

I got that BS 6 on hole 17 first round so i took tenth instead of 3rd. My drives werent that good either but atleast i cashed. 40 Bucks for 10th so i bought 3 Mistamped Tsunamis for 10 bucks a piece and gave away the rest of my money to Zach Vaughn.

Hopefully I wont get any BS tournament rolls i n BG

Mar 22 2005, 02:34 PM
By BS you mean, Big Sky tournament roll right?

Seriously though good luck to everyone in BG, see if you can sweep the A-tiers Millz. I'm gonna sit this one out and play No Foolin' in a skirt.

(bring it VAL)

Mar 22 2005, 07:23 PM
U better bring your A game Romine to beat Val or atleast to cash in Open.
