This weekend we will be doing the Annual Fundraiser and GLDGC Membership drive at Dretzka Park.
I have worked out an agreement with Subway on 107th for lunch and then Trackside for the awards ceremony. Thom Holsten has done up some very nice trophies and we are ready to rock and roll.
The course is a little messy so show up and bring a basket. We may just come up with our own course using land that isn't part of the disc golf course!
I have attached the link to the event flyer. I hope to see you there:

Jim's Question:
Will the Feb Fundraiser be random draw?
Terry's Answer:
Yes, it will be the standard A pool / B pool mix like we've had for the past 8 or 9 years or so.
Rumor has it that 2 time World Champion, Barry Schultz will be in attendance for this event. Talk about a lucky draw if you get him huh? I read somewhere once that he is good. Maybe that's just a rumor though.

Will the Drowning Beaver video be available? :o

Hey there Klem,
Unforunately the video is like 450 megs or something like that. So I really don't have a place to put it on the web. If you have any resources or ideas just let me know because it's been done and edited for a few weeks now. Just no place to put it.
Thanks,
Ter

I heard a rumor that the park is wanting 300 dollars to reserve the park now? Is there any truth to this?

Talked with Mark Peterson and everything is still on and there was something with the park wanting a special event fee but it has been taken care of :)
See everyone on the 18th!

Which is it?

Thanks for the clarification, T-Dogg.
The error is in your PDF that is linked in the first post in this thread:
That's because that was LAST YEAR'S flyer and last year's thread. Look at the original posted date. I removed the link from your quote because I don't want people to still go to it.
This year's info can be found in the post that is 2 before the post I'm making right now.

Well, DUH!
My fault for not seeing the obvious date. But maybe next time just start a new thread to avoid cornfusion? Thanks.

It would also clutter up the board even more and I'm not a fan of that:) Does anyone know of a way to delete really old or useless threads? Maybe I should contact Rhett for that?

For Klem and everyone else...
How was this event? I heard the course was fun and I heard some money was raised for the new course(s) in the Milwaukee area. Awesome to hear! Any other exciting news or updates?

Hey everyone!
I'm helping Mark "the Shark" Peterson out by posting some BASIC info about this year's February Fundraiser event.
When: Saturday, February 24th, 2007 | Reg from 8 - 9
Where: Dineen Disc Golf Course
Who: Everyone is invited (GLDGC members or not)
How much: $15. If you're not a member you'll become one with your entry.
Why: To play Dineen and help raise more money for more of the courses in Milwaukee County
Format: A Pool / B Pool with a twist. You will have a partner during round one from the pool opposite of you and then you'll get a new partner from that pool for the second round. You keep your score all day and each pool has their own trophies.
Example:
First Round: A Pool player (Jack) gets B Pool player (Joe) for the first round. Jack and Joe shoot -9 in best shot.
Second Round: A Pool player (Jack) gets B Pool player (Tim) for the second round. Jack and Tim shoot -11 in best shot.
Jack's score for the day is -20.
Shark's phone number is: 262.457.4631
