Hello ADGA members and fellow Disc Golfer's!
President Scott Odom and I would like to welcome everyone to the Augusta Disc Golf Association's 2005 season. Both Scott and I are truly excited to be leading the ADGA towards its strongest year ever. Everything is in place:
First and foremost, this season sees the return of the greatest NT event anywhere, the Hall of Fame Classic. The ADGA will yet again shine and demonstrate why Augusta has one of the most happening disc golf scenes across the country.
Secondly, we have the return of the Augusta Classic, Still Stuffed, and numerous ultra-fun non-sanctioned events including the Flyes-n-Dyes Classic, Epicenter Challenge, and the Monkey Dust Challenge. Keep an eye out for Clancy, the disc monkey, and more importantly, keep him off your back!
Speaking of ultra-fun non-sanctioned events, Scott Odom and I would like to cordially invite everyone to the official start of the season party. We're planning on throwing a club cook-out and camp-out following the Flye-n-Dyes Classic on April 2. We'll have the campground at Riverview reserved for Disc Golfers and plan on doing some field events, (putting comp., trick shots, Distance) in addition to a Glow round the evening of April 2nd, and some doubles the morning of April 3rd when everyone wakes up. This super fun event will be for Club Members and those visiting can pay $5 for food, but hopefully join the club (and get some free food)!
And speaking about joining the club... We are soliciting members and non-members alike to submit art for our club t-shirt. This art should feature one or hopefully all, of the following:
1. Mention of the ADGA/Augusta Disc Golf Association
2. Mention/reference to Augusta Area Courses (PK, LO, RV, Pat's)
3. 2005
Entries can be sent to myself, via email in some readable format (jpg, gif, etc.), to the email listed below. If you plan to hand draw a design, arrangements can be made to pick them up/drop them off.
We’re kind of running short on time for this, and would like to see interested parties contact me if they are interested. Deadline for finished ideas will be Friday, February 11th. We look forward to seeing the creative side of our ADGA members!
Keep a look out for our announcements regarding club meetings and events. Thank you to everyone who has come out for work days lately, RV has yet again reinvented itself and continues to improve upon its already established acclaim!
We’ve got a lot of ideas already cooking for this upcoming year and look forward to serving the ADGA members. Please feel free to contact us at anytime to discuss anything DG related.
