ATTN: Calgary Disc Golfers!!!
Here's the event details for this years IceBowl. We've changed the date to Saturday Feb 5th. There's a little football game going on, on Sunday.
Baker Park isn't fully confirmed. We'll post any changes if there is any. Keep checking back here for updates from now until the big day!
Hope to see everyone there, and we welcome any new faces. This is a fun charity event ... so come and have a blast, out in the snow ... all for a good cause!!!

side note to the ice bowl event, the event is at baker park and the address for that location is...Cross the river going north on the 85 St. bridge, and turn onto Scenic Bow Road.

Alright sports fans!!! The event is fast approaching...
Here's some more chillin' details:
Entry Fee: - $25
Registration: -9:30 to 10:30
Players Meeting: - 10:30
Tee-off: - Right After
Come down early, register, and play a few practice holes.
- We've got some sweet CDGA IceBowl T-shirts made up. They'll be first come / first served. $16ea. limited qty's
- Hot Chili and buns at lunch are included with your entry. DON'T FORGET YOUR CANNED FOOD DONATIONS!!!
- Mulligans will be for sale: $3ea. 2/$5
- There will be some funky mandatory throws.
- The Baker layout has been lengthened and holes have been added. The course is looking sweet. Last weekend there was a little bit of snow around. If this weather continues, there's not going to be too much left...
- There will be a CTP and Ace Pot, as well as a raffle for discs and sponsor prizes.
As mentioned, The Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter and the Interfaith Food Bank are our charity recipients. We've attracted quite a few sponsors for the IceBowl and expect to exceed last years contribution. Please be generous with your food donations.
The course is already pinned out and pop bottle targets are set-up. It's pretty close to past layouts, so you should be able to find your way around. The application to use the park is at its final approval stage and we expect to get approval on Monday. This event a great opportunity for the CDGA to show the city the need for an 18 hole public course. If you head down there before the IceBowl, please be responsible.
