Here's a place to post and boast. aces belong on a disc and in the public, but not on a basket, we all want to hear about greatness, and graffitti on our baskets doesn't quite tell the story right... so here's a place where everyone can see it!

Please use this board to report any lost discs also, and if you respect disc golf and other golfers like you, report any found discs...any FDGC memeber has a phone # on their plastic, and will return any they find. Thank you, FDGC

And here we are, Rick, Shane, Boobs, and I playing hole 5....i was in my second tree waiting for boobs to drop in his two when I hear some very loud chains to the north...peak around the corner to see two happy golfers doing a little jig...
Daniel Forrest aced hole 7....a pretty 250 ani ...Congrats!

Oct 19 2004, 12:48 PM
Daryl had a blue z-wildcat picked up by someone on 11

We found it later that day; the water must have pushed dirt on it over the course of an hour, because you could bearly see it unless you were right next to the edge of the lake.

I also have a 11x kc roc with gold writing on it i plunked in the pond on 6.

Our second $50 ace was made by Rick Maxwell!!!
Was rick's first tournament ace (first ace with a witness too)
He made us wait until the last hole to show us a smooth hyzer skipper, we were all breathless until it hit the chains, then you could here rick all across the course!
Who says you can't make money playing golf?
Congatulations!!!!!

nope, Randy from SoCal... lives halfway to joplin...and as much as randy lee plays disc golf....we should congratulate him for trying so hard to soak up all the water on the course with his cigarette butts.. :)

168 white 10x KC Teebird over to the right off the blue tees on 8. I think its somewhere lost in the muck by that fir that's about 150 feet down the fairway. If anyone finds it, please give me a shout. If you see anyone else with it, ask them to call the number on the back.

My favorite Disc in the world, Light Yellow Orc, Stamp is worn off and has my stamp on it of a guy putting at a funky looking basket, has an ace signed on the back the disc. Lost it on Hole three from the long tee, hit a tree about 150-200 down the fairway on the right to the water, if found will definitely be rewarded nicely. Thank you.

Hey guys, I know these posts are mostly for ********, blame-passing, name-calling, and boo-hooing (JUST KIDDING EVERYBODY, PLEASE DON'T JUMP ON MY [*****]), but I had an awesome ace yesterday on hole #4. What made it even better was the fact that my round was so [*****] and I haven't aced in over 2 and a half years.
I was out there with my girlfriend and after taking a 6 on hole 3, she calmed me down for hole 4. I grabbed my black omega supersoft (which is actually just an aviar in the supersoft plastic). I threw it with a little hyzer and a nice smooth release. The disc flew straight as an arrow and was headed right for the tree. As I watched it, it felt like the disc was in the air for 30 seconds as I waited to see what happened. At the last second as it was about to hit the tree, it drifted right just kissing the tree. It slammed into the chains and I whipped around to my girlfriend as she said, "did that go in?" For a second, I thought I was dreaming. I looked at the basket, and since the disc is black, I didn't see it in the basket. So we walked toward the basket and sure enough, there it was lying in the basket. It made my month. It even made up for the fact that I shot like +12 and threw into the water on every hole that has water, and some that don't.
I think I am going to retire now. I'm going out on a high note. Its been a long time since I aced, and I actually think I am getting worse. Plus, there is too much drama out there on the course. Between the people trying to start a club and the people in charge of the last club, that whole fiasco with kiddyarm, and people taking everything way too seriously, its just not fun for me anymore.
Our local "pros" bring everybody down when they don't play well. The most dedicated people out there are the ones who play for fun. I remember before x-mas, when it was like 30 degrees, me, ganzel, shane and denny out there playing golf in the mini. Sure it was probably too cold, and too windy, but we love to play. That love of playing is gone. Some of the players have gotten in my head, and now i get ****** when I don't play like I am capable of instead of just having fun. I'll probably come out there one day to sell some of my discs. I hope everything works out well with the formation of the club. Good luck everybody. Its been fun.

Mar 18 2005, 10:12 PM
Who are the local pros that put everybody down? And man having fun is what this game is all about, don't let others ruin you disc golfing experience, some people are just different so we just have to accept them the way they are. And cool ace man, that's a very cool hole to ace, sicne the line is so tight.

Mar 19 2005, 05:49 PM

Has anyone found a light pink Beast on the course. When I went to play yesterday it wasn't in my bag so I must of left it on the course the last time I played. (probably on hole #17) It has my name on it, but it looks kinda old and it might be almost worn off. It was one of the first discs I ever bought so I would really excited if it was found. It has my name and phone # on it. (Lindsey Asbury) So If you find it it would be awesome.

I finally got hole 17, it was pretty sweet, and it was all basket no chains, Dasun said it stayed in but I didn't want to believe it until we got to the basket, my first ace over 400ft :D, around 420ft I think the meausrement was. And it happened on a shot that I never would have thought might go in, we were playing a round, I threw my first shot within 30 ft, and then tried to throw a distance shot, but I slipped it came out really high but with an ani and Dasun said what is that I said Oh just a little bit of a shank :D, but it will get to the basket it was so high but somehow made it around the tree and clank.

I know this is mainly for NWA but having started there I will brag a little. Ive had two aces here since February. Hole 6 at Jefferson Barracks during a doubles round and hole 11 at Jefferson Barracks about 3 weeks ago. The latter was while warming up for tuesday night league and would have won that leagues $250 ace pot (was actually hit that night by someone else). Both were witnessed. I slammed the chains at the St. Louis Spring Sizzler on hole 7 at Endicott, bounce out, thought I was gonna win one of the club's $500 pots.

Whats up yall, I have quite a list of lost discs for ya, and they have been in the past few weeks. First of all I lost a Yellow Champion Beast on hole #10 to left in the high stuff. The next one is a tye dye champion teebird on hole #5 somewhere around the big dead tree on the right. I have also seemed to have lost my red champion aviar putter on # 4 to the right in the trees. All of these have my name and number written on the rim. I also lost one of my freinds discs on # 8 it is a C.E. Valkyre, almost looks like a day glo color, the name on it is Leighton Wood. I left my orange Champion Orc on # 18 on Sunday, it has Eric Bailey's name because i recently bought it from him.

Thanks,

I know Larry, he was my partner in the mini yesterday, and he mentioned that he lost his putter. He has been out to the mini the past few weeks.

Luckily no, but most of them were giggles. But good news sports fans, I got my putter back and a guy just called me about my orc yesterday. So I am slowly gettin them back. But unfortunately I lost my roc during the mini yesterday in the water on #6. I get a couple back and lose one a day later, thats the story of my bag.

If anyone is down in Alma and sees a blue JLS on hole 17 in the woods with my name and number on it, I would really appreciate if I got it back. Also, I lost a red Valkarie at Ben Geren about 30 feet up in the trees on around hole 6 and it isn't there anymore so If you see it. I would love to have that one back also. It is brand new. Well sports fans, there was an ace yesterday unfortunately it wasn't me it was Robbie. His first throw in the mini on sunday on hole 1 was an ace, straight into the basket, no skip.

Bla, I can't seem to keep a hold of my discs lately. I put a Blue CE Leopard in the lake at 13. Have to thank Kelly for looking for it, but alas, no luck. If anyone else finds it out there, I'll make sure to pay for the postage (as I am off to Iowa City for grad school later this week). Just pm me.

Check this out. Page 19 of the summer issue of DGWN. It reads, BIG ACE (in practice) in KC: After the players were pulled from the course on Sunday afternoon, but before the storm rolled in, Aleksey Bubis aced the 508-foot #1 at water works with a beat-up KC ROC. W :eek:W, 508' with a beat up roc. Thought this was very cool :cool:and had to share. SWEEEEEEEET.

I was there! All I heard was a bunch of people yelling- "BOOBS!!!"
From the parking lot, I saw Aleksey running from #1's teepad to the basket. He ran that 508 feet faster than Ben Johnson on steroids. :D

Better bring your waiters, life vest, and quick stick. All you have to do to start your own shop is go down to Hattiesburg, MS at Paul B. Johnson State Park. There are about 7 holes that line the lake. There are probably over 500 discs in that lake, LOTS of CE STUFF TOO! I heard a rumor they are going to drain it. Someone will be rich after that.

twoputtok
Sep 21 2005, 05:58 PM

You hear that BOOBS! I guess boobs sucks too, and Ganzel, and Kyle, and Jeff, and.....
But your right Dave, its a lot easier to keep track of your discs when you can't throw them over 200ft. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Or maybe you just have them tethered to your walker.
Or maybe they just smell as bad as your game and you can always track them down.

twoputtok
Sep 21 2005, 06:18 PM
No, I play more like Watson and Ash. We know how to place a shot where we want it to go.

Unlike many others I have witnessed out there throwing a shot and trying to talk it out of the tree, shule, lake, fence line...............

Boobs does not suck, he just throws toooooo far.
Ganzel, he does suk.
Kyle, another one that has problems with too much distance.
Jeff, I don't even know why you used him as an example. If I were him, I would take that as an insult.

and being the fact that a rusty old man beat you by 15 strokes at Ft Smith, you don't have much room to talk but you have a whole lot of room for improvement. :D

You have lost more on that course than I have lost in the last three years playing courses all over the place.
I may want to rethink my gambling in Vegas and wait until I get back here. You pay out better than any slot machine I have seen.

I was just respecting my elders, I didn't want to make you guys look bad.
I have more of a Tin Cup approach to disc golf. High risk-reward factor. Sure I'm probably not good enough to play that way, but I've had alot of success in life that way. Balls-to-the-wall! If you aren't trying to ace every hole, you're just masturbating! Lay-ups are for the WNBA!

Colin Furrow is a machine with that Star Teebird he has. He pulls it out on hole 18 at alma today and throws this beautiful hyzer flip line. He questions himself ,Will it make it over the trees? Does it have enough? The gallery says, get you some! and that's all over it! but it skips off the bask side of the cage and just touches the chains. So Then we decide to play the bottom holes 1-7. So on hole 1 he pulls out the Star Teebird again. He cranks it like he's throwing a 500' hole. As he releases he says !bam! The gallery cries , Not Again, they scream and boom straight in the center of the chains centers the pole and lands on the ground next to the basket. c'mon colin get it in the basket.
It was awsome back to back like that.

Hole 13,Macked the chains today,No Ace.Banged the basket on it a couple days ago,No Ace.This hole will be the most aced hole in the state. If you make it thru the trees you'll be runnin at it.There's already been one on it.Evan McGee. 1st one.I'd like to keep tabs on how many times it's done.It AIN'T that easy. But it'll be done more than most.AND THAT'S OK. Nothing wrong with giving everyone a shot. We'll call it (THE MONEY MAKER)Lots of 51 will be collected on this hole.

Good news and bad news....
Bob, i looked before the mini, and after the mini...no big bead aviar...still a chance though..i called jason (the one with the canoe)we'll see what he comes up with. if we get an offshore breeze i'll look again.
Good news is i got the CE eagle that eric threw in on 13 and I found his rock over on whole two....he did help me win doubles on sunday, it was the least i could do. oh yeah, it wasn't an ace...but on 15 got the ani bird threw the rabbit hole, BOOYAA!

Truly awesome shot

I thought I was doing well keeping pace with my card, after witnessing that, I just caved..... think I took 4's on the next 6 holes with a 5 thrown in somewhere

I found a disc by basket 18 on friday. No name or number. If you can tell me what kind and color you may have it back. If not, I will throw it :p.
