Discraft HQ, located nearby you, might be willing to help you get a HS club program underway.
Yeah thx!
I emailed them and they said they would be able to hook us up w/ some cheap "misprinted" discs and some other stuff.

I have seen a lot of high school aged students out on the courses lately. Which is really good for our sport.
The middle school that feeds into our high school(i am a teacher...not a student :-p) has a disc golf course on their campus. Then another course is 15 minutes from where I work, but I rarely see any young people out there playing.

Brighton High School is not far from you and they have a little nine hole course. Check to see if they have a club. I think Ann Arbor Pioneer High School has a nine hole course also. They might have a club.
I too, am a Senior in HS. At my school in GB, every once in a while we will go and play at a local course as a part of gym class. The school actually owns a couple hundred Discraft and Innova Discs. Most of them are Champion and Z. I know for a fact that almost every other school around Green Bay goes discin for gym class too. There are like 6 High schools around Green Bay. Its a good sign. It was pretty funny when I outshot my gym teacher by a full 15 strokes. I think it kind of made him mad

I recently graduated from weston high school in weston CT where shanest, his brother Zack, and myself created Man Unit Disc Golf. While it might not be an official school club its still a club, and our orange and blue tee shirts are a popular topic of discussion at local tourneys. Check it out at inthechains.com
i am a senior at a high school in omaha nebraska and for the last two years we have tried to get some high school leagues or tournments going. Both years we have gotten some numbers and what seemed like a lot of enthusiasm to play in a high school tourny. So then someone stepped up to be the TD for the tourny and the high school throwoff was going to be followed by another tournament which was a in skin play format. So me and two buddies from my highschool who are very involved in the league and club here in omaha decided to go to the HS tourny thinking there would be a good turnout....turns out we were the only three that went even after calling and talking to many other HS students in the area that said they would love to play. although the skin tourny had a good turnout the HS tourny could have been way better than 3 people from the same school. It seems like a lot of high schoolers just dont take disc golf as a sport to get better at
When I started playing disc golf we had the chance to play in a high school playoff. It wasn't affiliated through the state, but it was organized I think through the KDGA. This was in Kansas. It was a lot of fun and would be a cool way to get the sport in schools more. I am also from NE. In Beatrice we have a tough enough time just getiing people from the communtiy to play or even contribute to the course. Keep it up with trying to get people in your school to play. Also, Mr. Bill probably would even help you more too. Good luck! Let me know if I could help or give some input!

I started a DG club at Dexter High School, (Ann Arbor, MI) on about 1999ish. We even bought a basket from discraft and they do a small amount of teaching of disc golf in gym class. It helped that our principal at the time was a disc golfer and a member of A3 disc. This brought the support we needed for funds of a basket. He even brought some teachers and gym teachers out to hudson mills to show them what this was all about. Having a school DG club is a great idea except for the part that if its "school related", then anything done "bad" can be punished by by the school technically. Im not saying all disc golfers are "bad", just that when recruiting people, this becomes an issue. I know a lot of teenagers smoke cigarettes, even this could be an issue for on the DG course, if being a school DG club event. No one wants to get suspended from school for smoking a cigarette on the disc golf course. Now this was the was the way the rules were at my school. Yours might have different. A non-official high school club would bring more people i would think plus keep school rules off the course. They both have their pros and cons. I'm not sure where they are now with the DG club or gym class. If you want to talk to Dave Messner, you can email weaver@dexter.k12.mi.us (Dexter Web Admin) and get Daves email from him. Note Dave now teachs out of state so I don't have his email now.
