New d-g course in Fernie?

So what iz goin on in Fernie? I heard the ground squirrel in between two beers mentionning something about someone planning a new 18 somewhere...hum... drunken madness or truth?
Anyone?

I've heard rumors for 3-4 years that they were working on a course at the ski-hill. This apparently stalled in the last while.
There is now a guy in Fernie who golfed in both Calgary and Canmore and is working (hard?) to get a course in.

When we get word....we'll pass it on.

DIRECTION: go up 4th street towards downtown, turn right on 1st Ave (Park Ave), left on Mt. Proctor Ave, right at the end of Proctor and voila…Mt View Park. Disc central and parking located within the park itself.

FEES: Open (men’s and women’s) 65$
Masters 65$
Above divisions play for cash prizes
Amateur (men’s and women’s) 60$
Novice (men’s and women’s) 60$
Am/Novice playing for prizes

Included in registration: 36 holes per day
Dinner Saturday night/party
Door prizes
Am/novice….players package
