Hey whats up everybody This thread is to tell about great things that are happening to your game here in Arkansas. So come here and tell us some stories about your Aces or just a memorable putt don't hold back.

Story #1

So there I was in the field by the road on long # 13. (erie music here) I was about 180 possible 200 feet away from the basket. I pull out my putter thinking it is a little windy I just want to lay up and take my par. I let go of the disc at a perfect angle the wind popped it up a little bit and flattened it out and the line I put it on never changed until it had hit the chains and fallen into the basket for a birdie on one of the hardest holes to birdie on the long tees it was a great sight to see. Ok there is a start now I want to here some more. Boobs I know you got like 500 stories to tell along with everybody else lets hear them

Kyle you must have been pretty bored to come up with this idea :D, but I think that our moments are not such great history, but just great fun, hopefully one day we will have some trully epic stories, like hitting an ace to win a tournamnet or something like that. Dasun was tellin me how Dixon hit an ace in his last round with 3 holes to go in order to cash, I thinl that's pretty cool, all I got is a lot of ace run stories and some long putts.

Kyle your a dork, but your still my boy blue. Stories let me think one time I hit a 15 footer to beat the great Kyle McClure wait a minute that happens everyday. HEE HEE :D I am not sure of any great stories I also birdies 13 does that count. One time there was a $150 dollar ace pot at gulley and we approached 9 and I threw my roc straight down the middle center of the chain and splash out suck. Then Kyle McClure steps up and throws a broken looking two finger and it skips on the hill and splash it stayed in the dang chains suck.

I don't know if this counts as a great moment in History or not?

I was in Arkansas for a weekend to watch my sister in a track meet. I didn't know they even had a course in Hogville, I am from far Western Kansas. So like a true jackass, I leave all my plastic at home.


Once I find out they do have a course, I bust my balls to PAS to get some discs. Only 3 that is all I could afford. I then make my way to the course. As I am pulling the stickers off my new discs, 2 people walk up and I ask to play a round with them. The look on their face was golden, they had no idea that I normally play open at PDGA events. I could read their faces like a book, "who the hell is this shule tool?" They let me play and we had a good time. After the first hole, they figured out that I didn't suck!

Then as I was getting ready to leave I spotted a face I knew. What the Hell, who do I know in Arkansas. Keldog, I had played a few rounds with him in Hays KS at the frontier open. So knowing the wife would be ****** I went ahead and played another round and met some cool people.

Here is where the moment get GREAT! 3 or 4 holes into the round someone hits basket and everyone gives him the dollar. I am thinking "Crap I only have seven dollars in my bag and most of that is quarters. Then a few holes later, BANG, and ace!! What the F?? Now I am down to my last dollar, and I still need lunch! We then come up to hole #17. I throw a nice little spiike hyzer and BooYaa!! Everyone pays up, I make the trip to the Golden Arch Lunch Club (McDonalds) and all is good!!

Kelldog, BOOBS, and the rest of the crew. Thanks for a good time and a great memory!!

Hope to see you all in Hay in September! I know Kelldog will be there and he can vouch for the course.

There was this tournament in Tulsa Oklahoma on this little pitch & putt course they call Riverside. There was this group of older men, one of them severley crippled, one that was very quite, one that smoked his pipe and the other one that talked all of the time, just like Jay Leno.
As the men played each round it became apparent that the crippled old man had taken a lead on the others in the group.
Until, the final round and the quiet old man began to birdie every hole they played, that was until they cam upon #18, which was this massive 218ft monster of a hole. The quiet old man hits early wood, twice, then proceeds to putt over the basket, down the hill, then putts it up the hill past the basket for a drop in 5, but wait..................................no its a drop in 6. The quiet old man did not have enough energy left in him to make the 3 ft putt. Now the game was back in the hands of the old crippled man, as the quiet man just seem to fade away, riding his pig back to from which they had come.
After that, even the crippled old man and the others had fallen to the talk show host, as they could no longer withstand his rath of his constant verbal wonderings.

I don't know how great this moment was, butt I'll **** sure remember it. :D:D:D:D

Hey I played with Jack Lowe from Kansas city this weekend and took his 44 world tag from him it was great considering he worked his way from 324 to 44 then came to Tulsa to play and met the Kmac it was great I sent him packing anyway I see you had a problem with R squared just like Watson shake it off big guy worlds are really close talk at you later

Ok here is a story for you, we are playing a casual round, yesterday at Boomer Lake, Kyle, Dasun, Billy Ho, Justin, Devon, and I . We get to hole # 12 and just out of the sake of having fun I say who wants to bet that I will birdie this hole I get three bets two 10$ bets and one 1$ bet, I except and throw my drive it skips low and bangs the basket, I put out for the two and make some money, but then I let them of the hook. (Devon and Billy the 10$ bets). We play our way to hole #17, I have 12 discs in my bag and say who wants to bet me that I will ace this hole if I throw my bag at it, no one says anything, I throw one and it skips to low right inder it, throw the second one and it skips to the side of it, (this whole is about 200ft long), throw the third one it skips and flys through the chains, I take my hat off and throw it in the ground just fooling around, I throw my fourth one it skips by it, throw the fifth it skips righ next to it, throw my sixth, and I guess six times is a charm not three, it flys straight in with my pro line firebird and sticks, ACE baby :D. Any how I though it was cool.

4's rather than 5's, today was a beautiful day, slight breeze off the lake, had a couple of runs, and a couple of trees, the course had us by hole two...everybody had the lead at one point or another...good round!

K-Mac once again has a lead going into the final round, but this time - it's only three shots. UGH OH - Remember the Classic - This is a problem.

Then, Fayetteville's favorite advanced player in Dallas comes charging back like a raging bull, or like Aleksy at a Wimbledon autograph session :D

In the rear view, Mr. Keylor comes charging hard and makes up 8 strokes,

After tallying up the strokes, the seperated son, who has lost two tournaments by one stroke to K-Mac and 5 second placings, wins his first ADV tournament. Mr. K wins 2nd. K-Mac finishes fourth and loses the Okie Pts. Series by 1 point.

Sorry, but I was sooooo looking forward to comming over there and playing this new great course that you guys have put in. I guess when you get ready for your mini tournaments, let me know, I will go practice at Riverside then head over to Fayetteville so I will be ready. What about alternate tees? I'm sure some of you have already got some in mind. Just mark them with a CTP flag and lets start playing, you know I'm down for comming over there to play. :D

Well how 'bout a 6120' course with 10 straight shots, three hyzers, three ani flexers, and two anis, and variable trees throughout, longest hole 500 plus with am tees set at 5040'....that's what I have on paper.....the city however feels that with overabundance of disc golf in the area, what we need is a new putt putt course with one set of tees...and one a little shorter this time...gulley was just too taxing on the long arms. :) If the club gets any say in the matter, we will have a course worth traveling to...Minis are still every sat. and sun. at 1:00pm. We're thinkin 'bout ice bowl at horseshoe and here..dif. weekends....what is your february schedule there in t-town?

I won't know the Feb schedule for a while, but after our last trip to Horseshoe we wanted to plan on a Sat & Sun trip with players having the option to play Sat, Sun or both. Who ever wants to spend the night can get a cabin. I know we had talked about it and several of want to bring their spouses or girlfriends or both and make a weekend out of it. I know of at least 5 or 6 couples and several single players that expressed interest in comming. We had 13 golfers come over last time and now that word of mouth has spread, (I don't know why they haven't listened to me for the last year?) I would think that more than 20 will be comming next time. Some maybe just to see it and watch but most to play.

We need one of you to get in touch with Chad at the canyon and see when in Late Feb would be a good weekend to get this thing going. Maybe make it two one day tournies so that players could play one or both. Once we have a date we will start reserving cabins. I don't know how many they have but this could turn out big, with enough notice. :D

Colin and Joey tied Ganzel and Larry with five down in a 36 mph gusty day. It was near 70 degrees, perfect weather. We were warming up on two- from forty feet you could throw at the bottom right corner of the basket and hit upper left chains, wind would scoop it up.....not to mention the ten feet away- throw it up vertically ten feet and over twenty and watch slide to the left on end and hit the chains.We went to hole four in the play-offs where Larry bee-lined an ace high comet past the chains, other highlights were definately some very nice drives by joey some stellar putting (I'm talking no hesitation and no error) by colin... Larry played lights out again, hit some good drives and some good putts...and ganzel hit a forty footer on the last hole to tie...and (i have to say somethin'!) with a five foot to the left and two feet short birdie....parked hole ten! around the oak five hundred feet baby!.... (a first in distance for the scrawny basterd) and the first birdie on the hole. Man was it fun playin golf today! see y'all next week!

Nice work Aleksey. When you guys are out at Horseshoe please take some pictures. I've been telling some of my freinds that I used to play with (who are now in grad school) about this couse, and I really want some peeps to see it. BTW, I am so jealous. The terrain here would be perfect for a course, with some of the elevation that Horseshoe has, as well as a 20-40 mph wind depending on how near the ocean you are.
I'm supposed to check out an object couse on Friday with some ultimate kids; try and extend their 200ft holes another 150-300 ft, go buy a basket, and set up a couse here. :)

As far as the $100.00... I'll have to review my posts from last year.
I do not recall making that offer for this years USDGC as there was little doubt that Boobs would go below my best score of 66.

Kelly Watson is now officially the biggest bagger in the history of disc golf in Northwest Arkansas.
He has now accumulated more "baggage" than I was ever able to, and there seems to be no end in sight.
Perhaps, a 2006 World title will bring an end to this charade.
We can only hope.

I got to watch my son Erik step up and lead wis baseball team to a state title.

The first ever for Elkins in any sport.
He took charge in the top of the 5th inn. Down 6 to 2 and repelled them to the victory.
