And what makes you think Kid would be playing OPEN, he still retains his am status.

I do remember all that Lords of The Sand talk, Pep. And, I was there, I think, when C-dub took his 1st sanctioned cash. If I remember correctly, it was a dark evening on Houck's front porch at the 1st T (no Z) 10 final. Is that right? Was it $12? The beer effects the memory, but that sounds right. Or am I confusing it with another memory? I could've been giddy from cashing too, who knows. :)

Well, I guess they aren't like you. We did shut them up. And yes, they are making you look bad.

Another day draws to a close, and still, there's a pall of silence hanging thick in the air over much of the Rebel camp. What was once a place of joy, smack and chatter, has become almost deafening in its eerie quiet. The thunderous roars of Rebel pride, now silenced by their more evolved foe.

Will laughter and smack ever fill our ears again from the once raucous and prideful, yet delusional young heroes? Will Rebel followers ever hear words of encouragement from their leaders again? Will their brief shining moment in the sun, be no more than that fleeting glory brought about by the anticipation of combat, unable to withstand the light of utter defeat? Will the 2004 Champions Cup Challenge serve as nothing other than a sad reminder of what could have been, rather than a glorious remembrance of what was?


Only time, and the rebels of the future, can say for certain.

July 1, 2004 - 4 days after the Battle on The Brazos

Still sleeping restlessly. It has been days since we had word from our Captains, and have nearly given up hope. While we put forth a mighty effort against the long flanks of our primate enemies, the apes dealt with us harshly.

Last night was dark, with no glimpse of the moon or stars, and no one here ate with much joy. No songs were sung, no jokes were told. It seems that all the spirit of our once proud brigade has left us.

At tonights writing, there is a near full moon in the sky. Sadly, the bright light of the moon through the clear sky casts terrible shadows on what's left of our detail. These shadows are a grim reminder of the battle toll taken by our boys in the battle with the monkeys by the banks of the mighty river.

A stranger did wander into our camp this evening. He told us of the many battles the ape armies are prepared to fight and that their forces seem to be getting stronger still. He even told us of a young recruit that has now risen through their ranks to take his place among their great battle tested leaders.

It is disheartening, to say the least, to hear of their ranks growing stronger as ours lie in ruin at their hands.

I feel that without our beloved Captains to lead us, some of our men may surrender or worse, defect, tomorrow.

Its been so long since I heard a rebel yell, I can scarcely remember the sound of it.

Mark I was thinking, I've heard that other discgolfers would like to put together a team and get into the challange for next year. I say that the other teams should have a playoff to determine who's the number one contender. Any Joe blow can get a team together, BUT they have to be worthy. :oSo I say let them determine who's the number one contender.

Ok, First off, we did get our arse's handed to us, by a bunch of apes. But we are not scared. We are looking foward to next year.

No excusses for how I played, I was the weak link in our team, I did not play to my level. The course did not beat me I beat myself along every tree in the fairway and off the fairway. Actually my first front nine of the beast was not bad. I was 4 over at the turn, then became 15 over after #14. I did learn one thing from this. my fat arse needs to get into shape. I had a rough back nine, Hillbillies are not meant to be in the jungle for a full round. the heat and humidity got to me. I am sorry to my team that I let everyone down.

Congrats go out for all the Sirs and Lady. Y'all kick our arse's.

I would have posted earlier but I just got internet access. and have been hiding out in okie land.

I had a great time, hanging with friends and playing disc golf, can you ask for a better time, well I guess I could have asked for a win, but there is alway next year.

I challenge anyone to make a team and join us next year, you can try and beat the 1st ever Champion Cup winners, Team E.

We will be there in another effort to beat them ourselves.

Sir Mark and myself will set down one of these days and make a format, and try to set a date for this. I am not sure if we want to play in waco again, I don't see why not, as long as Joey doesn't have a problem with it. Or Sir Mark if you have any suggestions let me know. This will be a great time, and I hope that there will be more teams and we can make a tradition of fun times and alittle of compatition.

Team Rebelution, hold your heads up High, We got beat this time, but We are a great team and we have great players, you all did your best. but next year is another story, yet to be written. Do not listen to the little monkeys, keep on beating them in every tourny you play.

I have been asked by a few of my fellow team mates, if we were going to have another challenge in 05. So I asked the Lord Ape himself and he said BRING IT ON. what does everyone have to say about this? I am up to try and save face.

I have been thinking about it and if everyone wants to get together sometime next year and play again, then lets get the ball rolling. time place date, lets get this planned so that we can have it down so that everyone can plan for it.

I will be seeing the Lord Ape this weekend and will discuss further with him, but wanted to get everyones input on it also.

I talked to Sir Mark this weekend and discussed the Challenge for next year, I don't know how much he will remember about it, for the fact that the man couldn't walk 2 steps without falling down, and He was shooting off his mouth, like a $50 bet he made me that he could out drive me. That will be the easiest $50 bucks I will have ever made, kinda like the $10 bet at Sir Marks home course that I took from him.

Oh By the way ask Sir Mark what happened to his hands.

We did discuss a few things about the Challenge and I think that we need to talk a little more about it before we roll it out. But if anyone else has some good ideas about what we could do or how we want to set up and run the thing, please feel free to give us your ideas.

And one more thing Sir Mark you might refer to your long D driving as "the big one" but I refer to my long D driving to "Gigantor"
