Hey!!

Im about to play in my first tournament and I have been hearing some people say that you cant use dyed discs in tournaments. I have been dyeing them myself and the three of them are my main discs! If I have removed the stamp or even some of the stamp can they still be used?

Thanx

You can't use painted discs. You can use dyed discs.

I love non-rules rules.

Or was this story just a cover so you could spam us?

To expand somewhat on Bruce's comment, discs used in play must be uniquely marked with ink or a pigment-based marking which has no detectable thickness (Rule 802.01.F). Practically speaking, that means that graphics drawn with ballpoint pens, permanent markers, and true dyes are permitted, but designs made with gel inks and paints are vorboten.

Discs that have had their hotstamps removed are tournament-legal.

If you have any doubt whether or not one or more of your discs is legal, check with the TD since final determination of whether or not a disc passes muster rests with the him/her (Rule 802.01.D).
