View Full Version : OGDGC Unofficial web site
OakGroveDiscGolfCourse Unofficial Homepage (http://mysite.verizon.net/res8a8ir/) ereynolds56@verizon.net
While your at it, check out the really empty Official OGDGC (http://www.ogdgc.org) Website.
Does anyone know the amount of members in SoCal Disc Golf? OGDGC may have more, or may be approacing it. (By the way, I can't believe that the last post before this one was over a year ago!?)
I counted 132 current @ SoCal.org. The roster #'s go to 475. What are the #'s for OGDGC?
...more an anecdote than information: I was talking to Eldo's latest Legend*, 360º Pat's friend Kempton, about the proposed old school event up there, and he thought I meant Frisbie Pie Co. tins. And I thought...hmmmmmm.....errrrrrr...uhhhhhhh...um, nahhhhhhhhh. Well, I guess one had to be there. :o:D
*Kempton qualified for Legends this Jan 1st, but doesn't play organized disc.
Does anybody know what happened to one of my favorite posters, the Chap about 60-years of age, username 'Blarg'? He hasn't been on the board since late-January.
I don't have the latest member list, but as of Jan. 16, 2005 there were 108 members. Should get a higher count @ next board meeting (updated list). We are approching their #s, and I believe we may pass them this year! :D

HEY Slo!
I'm still around. Thanks for the appreciation!
I'm still out here. I just haven't been online and posting that much lately. I've been playing lots of disc golf, though. Maybe overdoing it a bit, as I'm so tired some nights that I don't even go online.
I'm off to Philadelphia this weekend to see some friends I haven't seen in 30 years and to check out some east coast disc golf for about a week.
I've never played back east. Got any good ideas for courses near Philadelphia? I'll probably rent a car.
Thanks for wondering about me. Made me feel great.
:D:D:D
I noticed; welcome back! :cool:Any chance you'll be @ Lama, this Th or Friday, so I can introduce myself?
I don't know much about Philly, except that Sedgley [sp?] Woods is historical; one of the first-five chain/pole courses, ever...in FACT, I do believe some dispute Huntington's claim as the SECOND ever. I think Nick would be the one to ask about that area. ;)

Can't make it to Lama this weekend. I'll be in Philadelphia.
No idea who Nick is, but if he sees this before Friday, then...."Hi Nick, any ideas on where to play in the Philly area (besides Fairmont)?
I used to play at La Mirada almost every day until I discovered I could get to Oak Grove in about one third of the time. I live near Hollywood and the 5 is always so slow it takes me hours (literally) to drive the 25 or so miles to Lama.
I'll be back around the 21st and I'll try to get back down there on a weekend.
Wonder if we've already met??? I've got white hair and a white goatee mustache combo and back then I was pretty lousy.
Got my first birdy at La Mirada, though.
I know Mike Williams a bit and Jerry (big beard) was a mentor/teacher when I was starting out. Also played a buncha rounds with a great guy named Jose.

Hi Tom, only took me a month to notice you posted at me!
Sorry about that. :p
I don't recognize the name, but that means nothing, as I'm terrible at
remembering names. I've played with quite a few people at La Mirada, but it was over a year ago. I'm at Oak Grove the most often now.
