View Full Version : Team Evolution - A thread for their props
New Year, New Thread. (The old one looked kinda hinky anyway as it didn't make the transfer to the new board software well.)
This is where you can all brag on and pat on the back members of Team Evolution, sponsored by Hill Country Flyers.
Good start to the year by two of our players this past weekend in Victoooooooooooooria. :D
Jerry "El Chile" Perez dominated the Pro Masters field with a convincing victory. Shooting the hot round in his division in each of the first 3 rounds and the Final 9 (including a smoking 995 rated -4 in the 2nd), he led wire to wire and avenged his 2nd place finish here last year with a great win. Way To Go, El Chile! Masters Rule!
In Advanced Women, even though the field was small, there was considerably more drama. After battling for the first couple of rounds Team Evolution herself, Danielle Vargas shot her best round of the weekend in the 3rd, pulling even with Patti Justice. That's when it got fun. These two class acts stayed neck and neck for pretty much all of the Final 9. It looked like it was gonna take more than 9 holes to sort it out after Patti canned what was by all accounts a sick 40-footer into a dead headwind to pull back to a tie with Danielle. With a lot of the folks who were not playing watching the final hole, Danielle drills her putt to walk away with a tough and hard earned win. Great Job Danielle. You Go Girl!
The weekend was a bit tougher on last year's Am World Champ, Team E Pro Justin Kerr. After shooting the 4th best 2nd round in Open to move back up the board a bit, he couldn't quite move back up far enough and missed the Final 9 cut by 2 strokes. This is Justin's 1st full year in Open (and only his second year playing DG, for crying out loud) and I think we all expect to see him around the top of the leaderboards plenty this year. Maybe I need to get him some collared wife beaters with the Hill Country Flyers Evolution Logo to make him more comfortable on the course. :)
Hope to have our first ever full showing of Team E at ZLTX10 this weekend. If I can hold up my end of the bargain, maybe we can all cash! :)
Go Team E!!!
Props indeed! Team E is my favorite disc golf entity of any kind! Mark you have done a great job in picking great players to represent the Hill Country Flyers. Every one of your players conducts themselves professionally, and is a pleasure to be around...Now if ya'll could just get your Cappy out on the course more.... ;)

I have a feeling that our fearless leader will be seen this weekend at the Z-L-TX-10(sure are a lot of abbrev. there) this saturday.
A team-E pic perhaps?
Thanks Josh. I couldn't be prouder of my association with such a great group of both disc golfers and people than I am with the members of Team Evolution. Not only are they all great golfers, but they're all class, all the way! Champions on and off the field of play.
Maybe I should help the Portland Trailblazers in their next draft and free agent signing efforts. :) (I know what you're thinking McCaine, and don't even go there!)
Yes, John, I will be there, gunning for my first OMB cash in a ZLT10 event. I am really hoping we can get a Team Pic. We need one. I've got all this wall space in my office. :)
While we're on the subject, Team E is about to grow. With Mr. Kerr moving up to the Pro ranks, we find ourselves without an MA1 representative. I said last year that we would add one in '04 and we're about to. I've got 3-4 different guys I'm considering, all great golfers and great individuals like the rest of the team (yours truly excluded on the great golfer part, for obvious reasons :) ).
I should be ready to make an announcement regarding this individual by the weekend and perhaps a team pic will include the newest member of Team E!
Just a note: My scheduling problems that have forced me to scale back HCF run events this year in no way affect Team E or our sponsorship. Further, I'm starting to have some real hope that this is a temporary (1 yr.) hiatus from what we all hoped (and still do) would be an outstanding and successful Evolution Series.
Now back to your regularly scheduled pats on the back. :)
Good to see you are still moving forward, despite the setbacks....
Hope to see you agains soon, and toos back a cold one or ten!!!
:D
Thanks Cong. It feels good to be moving forward again. I've finally begun to establish a little bit of a local personal network that will help me schedule wise, but it came a little too late to keep me from pulling the trigger on the schedule cutback this year.
Later in the day, I'll be posting my event schedule for the remainder of the year and it includes 1 new monthly mini and the Lago 2-day, that was originally slated to be part of the Evolution Series.

Maybe we could have a public poll as well.

Martin, are you buckin for sponsorship?
I thought that might be fun, but, uh...no. :)
I will tell ya that the 4 (actually started at 10) are now 2.
Do the two even know that they are being considered?
I do, they dont.....he is down to 2, so be patient!!
I knew DFL was going to have a negative impact!!
hehe...just joshin ya...
no I'm not...
:D
C'mon Josh, I DFL'ed for 4 yrs. and they still let me be on the team. :)
Thats cause THEY is YOU!! :p

yeah. my chance at sponsorship is about as good as my chance at becoming a japanese fighter pilot.
Alright, here we grow again. :D
The suspense is over and I'm ready to announce the name of the new Team Evolution member.
Well...actually that should be "names" and "members."
You see, with so many great candidates in Texas to choose from, its tough to just pick one. After compiling a great list of MA1 players who all qualify for what we're looking for (good golfers, great people, great personalities, great representatives of the game of Disc Golf), I managed through a lot of tough consideration to get the list down to 2. I say tough, because no one that I considered would've been anything less than a great fit and great choice. However, I can't afford to sponsor 20 players at this time...so...
Being unable to choose just one guy out of my final two, I give you new Team E members:
Stephen Brower and Billy Nelson!
Stephen is a very competitive Advanced player. As a golfer, he's a top notch player in the division. A tough and determined competitor, he also has a lot of fun on the course and is a great card mate during a competitive round. As a person, its hard to find many folks who are more fun to hang out with. He's always enjoyable to be around and carries himself with a lot of class on and off the course. He's a credit to competitive disc golf and will be a credit to Team Evolution. I'm thrilled to have him on board and look forward to our association.
Billy, since coming back to organized tournament play last year, has been quickly rising up through the ranks as a competitor. Getting back in to tourney play last year at first in MA2 and quickly outdistancing that division and moving back up to Advanced, he showed that he's not content to just rack up plastic, but is bent on competiting at a higher level. With a big arm and a consistent style, he'll be making waves in MA1 this year for sure. As a person, Billy has struck me, since we got to know each other last year, as a guy who represents the image on the course that I want Hill Country Flyers associated with and behind the scenes has been instrumental as an organizer in his home of Corpus Christi. He's been making things happen down there for quite sometime and has recently stepped up those efforts even more. He's a great representative of our sport to the "non-disc golf world," and I think will be a tremendous asset for both the game and for our Team members as well.
A hearty Hill Country "Welcome Aboard" to our newest members, Billy and Stephen.
Team E in '04!

Welcome aboard guys!! :D:D
Great choices Mark! And Congrats to the winners!
I have only met Billy a couple of times, but he is very encouraging and positve. Very cool and laid back dude.
Stephen I have known for a while, and he is one of my favorite persons to play disc golf with. No matter how poorly either of us play, we are sure to have fun, and thats what disc golf is all about.
Congrats guys- look forward to seein ya's on the course!
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!
I think you made the right choice Mark!
Thanks Schmack and Josh. I've already received a lot of good responses on these selections. It seems that the team is growing with more positive members who are well respected in the DG family.
Even if one of our team members thinks another one is a bagger. :D
Where's Chile?!?! You out there Old Man?
As far as I can tell, Team E will be well represented this Saturday in Lewisville. I'm thinking that 5 of our Magnificent 7 will be on hand to put a hurting on those courses.
GO TEAM E!

A moment for Team E captain, Mark Atwood, on his upcoming accomplishment---4,000 posts on the message board.
Yep, that's right. 4,000. A number once thought unattainable. No one could have that much free time to post that many times. No one could dream of spending so much time reading and responding.
And most importantly, no one could have that much to say. But Mark has not let that stop him from typing on.
Way to go, Mark. :D

I was waiting until next week for the big event before we started discussing it, but since I'm sure that Nick is already out buying me a present, we might as well go ahead.
I wonder if the PDGA will buy me a gold watch? Or is that only if you retire? I wonder if the PDGA would buy me a gold watch if i PROMISED to retire?
Thanks anyway, Mr. Bender. I appreciate it.
Although, it just won't feel the same without Wimm and Dud around to kick me in the groin for my accomplishment.

Eh?? Can ya speak up...I couldn't hear ya.
(bait)
wow, over 2 hours with no post from martyr??? what is the world coming to??
Well, here we are at last.
*smiles, as a big banner bearing the text “4,000 And Counting” is unfurled, waits for applause to die down*
I’ve often thought about this moment over the years, and what it would mean to me. I’d like to start out by saying thank you, to all the little people that made this happen. Without them, being a rare and gifted smartass would have much less meaning.
A few people that I must give special thanks to must be singled out. In my early career as a professional message board poster, there were really two people that truly signified posting excellence and at the same time, futility in life. Those two people are here tonight and I’d like for them to stand and be acknowledged. Randy and Nick, please rise.
*on the front row, and hand in hand, Randy Wimm and Nick Kight stand to roaring applause*
These two gentleman, one often wrong and misguided, the other his number one nemesis, went at each other with such fervor, that I knew I must not only be part of such a wonderful diatribe, but that I must stand with one and against the other. One of my earliest posts was an effort to get Nick to make his point without being such a hard case and so arrogant when responding to Randy. Through the years, as I learned what a pointless effort this was to be, I also learned a lot about posting, humor and developed my Hall of Fame style that would guide me throughout my career. I have at least hundreds of posts directly attributable to these two and their struggles over the years, and they as much as any two individuals are responsible for my astounding numbers. Thank you both, so much.
I would also be remiss if I failed to mention a gentleman who has become a great friend to me, as he has to the disc golf world. Chris, will you please stand up.
*paparazzi launch a feverish barrage of flashbulbs as Chris Himing, on the arms of two leggy Hooters girls, rises from the international seating section, where Lance Armstrong, Sandra Bullock and Barry Schultz are all enjoying “Down Under” margaritas*
There is little doubt that without the Texas 10 Charity Tour threads, and their subsequent evolution into the ZLT10 threads, that I would’ve had nearly as much to talk about, or respond to. The sheer numbers of smack posts directed at me on those threads regarding my putting, my abominable scores, guessing games to determined my over/under par efforts or birdie/bogey numbers enabled me to rack up some huge stats. Lump those in with the large number of legitimate posts regarding what made these events so worthy and the recent valiant efforts in the face of PDGA opposition to post scores for Chris’ events, and you have some idea of how invaluable to my career this man has been.
There are of course others who bear mentioning on this momentous occasion. Victor LeBlanc and Mark Bruce couldn’t be here tonight as they complete their European tour of Championship Hair Pulling and Nipple Tweaking, but they are here in spirit. During a time in late ’02 and into ’03, these two staged a Wimm/Kight-esque battle that was inspiring to me as well as many others. *scattered and confused applause breaks out, then quickly dies away* It should be mentioned that Mr. Bruce’s “Name My Tournament” fiasco, ended up as the largest 3-hour post total in message board history.
John Conger, who has adopted the appropriate name of Schmack Daddy these days, was instrumental in teaching me how to avoid the appearance of post-whoring, by simply not following his lead of posting smiley faces to every thread.
Herm The Lefty taught me that just because you can’t spell, that doesn’t mean that you can’t post. It does mean you probably won’t make any sense, but you can, by god, post.
My Round Rock brothers and sisters, the most prolific posting club in existence have also contributed to my success. How many clubs have to create a new thread simply because the old one bogs down the server?
Also what HOF posting career wasn’t enriched by a youngster by the name of Jedidiah Brightbill. The simplistic genius of the eternal message board question “How Do I Throw My MRV,” has defined how we see ourselves and jump started the careers of many of the message board elite. Thank you young man, for the profound impact you have had on us all (with apologies to ASCAP and BMI).
I cannot omit the importance of PDGA Rules Specific discussions in my rise to greatness. The 2-Meter rule, DROT, and 804.05 have all contributed mightily to my efforts on the board and have sparked (pun completely intended) numerous and hearty discussions on the course as well. God bless those who make the rules, for they are the ones who define our struggles against them.
I’m often asked who I feel will be the next Marka. Who will be the next great poster. We live in an era of message board elitism that will make it difficult for a number of up and coming young stars to ever achieve the numbers posted by myself and my closest competitors, Nick Kight and Rhett Stroh. This is not to say that there is not some real talent out there. The aforementioned Schmack Daddy shows a lot of promise, as does a young man who seems to have improved on his techniques, Danny “Kid Roc” Reeves. A pair of Houstonians with some impressive stats are Larry “Ching Lizard” Kruse and John “Gimp” Edwards III. As Larry utilizes his Jekyll and Hyde style while John continues his efforts to one day hold an event in every city in Texas, these two are bound to be forces in the message board game. Chris Hysell could end his career with great numbers, but the quality of what was once a promising posting future seems to be flagging of late. Speaking of once promising careers, Kevin “Barbie” McCoy has likely ended what chances he had for HOF status (although some of his posts should be enshrined ala Pete Rose’s bats) by exiling himself to the threads north of the Red River. When it comes to humor the caliber of the once prolific Mr. McCoy, its impossible to ignore the fine work being done recently by young Tony Bender. Whether or not he can stand the test of time remains to be seen. Chris “C-Dub” Ware has both talent and numbers. With the Round Rock Dragons behind him, he could be a contender to the throne, someday. Gary Duke will be rising through the ranks as his new position of State Coordinator allows him numerous opportunities to defend himself from the unabated bashing that is inherent to that title. The venerable Chuck Kennedy, having recently incorporated humor into his offerings, is a name to watch as well.
As for newbies, I’d say that Robbie “Rooster” Cooper is showing some real promise. If he’d spend more time posting and less time on his journals, he could make a real impact. Although not a true “newbie” Adam Murphy, currently sporting the creepiest avatar on the block, has really stepped up his efforts of late.
In the world of women, recent developments could change the face of the women’s posting division. The unfortunate and untimely retirement of Suzette “Discette” Helmick, has opened the door for a couple newly prolific ladies. Lindsay “Girlie” Merce and Danielle “Team Evolution” Vargas are displaying multiple posting skills that I must admit, even make me jealous.
Overall, there are some great posters out there with a wide range of opinions that run the gamut between brilliant and, well, less than brilliant. We should all be entertained by their efforts for years to come.
In closing,
*as the crowd awakes from its restless slumber, a slow but determined round of applause at the possibility of seeing the end of this excruciatingly painful post finally arrive, builds to a cacophony which rivals what it must’ve sounded like when an assassin’s pellet nearly took from us, disc golf’s most cherished buttocks*
I’d just like to say that this magical trip to 4,000 posts has been a long strange trip filled with wonder and awe. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve thrown my keyboard and I’ve learned so much about my fellow man.
To those who have taken offense to any of my posts over the years, I’d like to say get a life. To those of you who have read this entire post, I’d have to say…its already too late.
On to 5,000!

Mark, you gonna sign up Baby Hero for Team E?
the youngest sponsored player ever!

Mar 05 2004, 01:36 PM
You have a team member for the Juniors Division. :)
It was a busy week and weekend for Team E Members. Although none of us can match the recent events in the lives of the Hero family, all of us were up to something. :)
First, we celebrated the addition of the newest member to the disc golf family and Team Evolution, by welcoming Ryan Mauiro into the world. While he had a busy and rugged first few hours on the planet, all is well and mom, dad, and Baby Hero are doing great. Congrats again guys. Maybe what Team E needs now is a babysitting service? :)
The golf news for the team was big as well. Another title has been brought home to the Team E Trophy case. Danielle Vargas (the top rated Am Woman in Tejas) and her partner, Houstonian, D'eatra Edwards (no relation to Gimp), brought home the State Doubles Championship title from Round Top this weekend. This was gonna be the team to beat going in, since quite often its these two battling out at the end of many of the singles events in which they're both entered. D'eatra even hit the only Ace of the entire weekend. Congrats Ladies! Look out for these two at World Doubles.
Team members Billy Nelson (paired with Don Quattlebaum in Adv. Masters) and Stephen Brower (partnered with Troy Soules in Adv.) were also in action at the State Doubles Championships. I haven't heard from them yet and State Dubs scores are nowhere to be found so far, so I'm not quite sure how they did. I believe Stephen and Troy finished 4th in MA1, but I'm not certain. As for Billy and Don Q, I'm waiting to hear.
I'm sure both had fun, however, as Round Top is always a great time for its participants. Wherever they finished, I have no doubt that they represented us well, as always.
In the National Tour event held at Waco, a couple of our pro reps battled it out in their respective divisions all weekend and ended with very respectable finishes.
In Open after a tough first day at Olde Cameron, Justin Kerr fought his way back up the board with a great Sunday finishing 11th. With where he started on Sunday and the impressive field on hand, this was a great finish.
In Pro Masters, reigning State Champ Jerry "El Chile" Perez, was strong all weekend. With a stout Masters field made up of the some of the best touring players in that division in the country, Chile ended day one with a 1 stroke lead. On Sunday he battled the brutal wind conditions and the awesome field of golfers to finish in his first NT event with a tie for 6th.
Both guys showed that they will be players to watch in these top notch National Tour stops.
Chile and partner Vinnie Miller, will be representing the Dragons of Round Rock at this coming weekend's Pro World Doubles Champions. Go get 'em guys!
All in all, it was a great last week for Team Evolution and '04 is off to a heck of a start!
(Oh yeah, I cashed in Adv. Masters at the Lago Vista Monthly Mini. :) )

GOOD JOB CHILE!!!!!!!!!
Way to show em how TEXAS does it!
Keep it up!
My fellow disc golfers, students and MASofB&FP alums, it is with a great deal of uncertainty about the future and a heavy heart that I come to you this morning from the Dean's Office of our storied university.
Since being appointed to the post of Dean, after my role as a founder for the MASofB&FP, I have diligently tried to carry out the duties of the office and have always represented our teachings and what we stand for in the public eye of tournnament competition. I have long felt that my responsibilities as a leader placed an even greater burden on me to represent our school than the one that rests with our graduates.
During these past four and a half years, it has often been noted that I was at times, the best representative of those tenets.
It is therefore with a great deal of sadness that I must report to you at this time, that I no longer feel qualified to be the type of representative that I believe our school needs to move forward in the future.
Over this past weekend, I had the perfect opportunity to spread the joy and teach the ways of the MASofB&FP, but yet opted not to do so.
In a one-day event in Live Oak, Texas, through 36 holes of competitive disc golf, I wasted every opportunity I had to demonstrate the MASofB&FP way, by failing to miss even a single comeback putt.
Although I missed several par putts and a few easy birdie putts, I selfishly failed to demonstrate the B&FP skills that this university was based on.
With my current focus being occupied by the challenge faced by Team Evolution from the upstart rebels of Team Rebelution and my selfish desire to move my rating closer to 900 than it is to 700 by year's end, I do not feel like I am as dedicated to the MASofB&FP as I once was, or should be.
It is therefore with the best interest of the school's future and a great deal of personal reluctance that I submit to you this morning my resignation as Dean, effective at noon today.
I will recommend that a committee be appointed immediately to find a suitable replacement. This committee should be comprised of some of our most outstanding alums and I would personally like to recommend Tony Bender, Susan Jones, Stephen Brower, Casey Fortune and Frank Dorsett for this search group. In fact, my replacement could easily be found among this group of strong representatives of the B&FP way.
I will of course, remain on as an advisor to our growing "Missed Gimmes" department, and will be available to lecture on this topic whenever possible.
In closing, let me say that my time here has been a learning experience and that my departure will undoubtedly open the doors to some advancements in the school's future.
So, goodbye and God Bless the MASofB&FP.

Silly, Silly Mark,
Everyone suffers from a lack of concentration at one time or another, I think you are severly overacting to a single unique circumstance. I am confident that your future performances will reflect the proud traditions of MASofB&FP. I would request that you quietly retrieve your resignation letter, and that this little indiscretion never be brought up again.
While I appreciate your support, Gary, over the last few weeks, my misses have been too close to even set up many B&FP opportunities.
Even yesterday at Lago, I think I had 12 missed putts that hit metal, and only one of those was to save bogey. Can't really do too much back and forth putting like that.
My heart just isn't in the ole' B&FP game anymore and its time for someone else to step up and lead the B&FP'ers into the future.

TASKER IN 05!!!
I'd like to say how awesome it was to see Stephen Brower get his 1st PDGA win since joining Team Evolution. He led, or held a share of the lead, at the Paul Giles Memorial in Athens this past weekend from wire to wire.
Stephen's been playing some good golf of late and put some great rounds together out there in some less than favorable conditions, when mother nature was as tough as the competition.
Way to go Mr. Brower! :D
In Pro Masters, Jerry Perez, Sr. and Kyle Power had quite a battle going on throughout the weekend for 2nd, after Ansley's incredible 2nd round to pull away. Chile ended up 3rd by a stick and in the money. He's just tuning up for what's to come.
Congrats Chile! :D
I didn't represent so well, even though my putt is still getting way better. Maybe I'll be able to put it all together soon.
Good Luck to all Team Evolution members this weekend in Live Oak for the ZLT10.

Congrats to Stephen Brower on successfully beating back the wolves of the world and surviving another year on this here rock! Happy Birthday, you PGM MA1 Champ you.
Team E rolls on.
Big ups to Danielle "Nelle" Vargas for yet another wire to wire win in Temple this weekend.
This course requires you to stay focused and take what it gives you or a lot of really bad things can happen. Nelle did what it took to stay on top all weekend.
Honorary Team E member and chief comedy writer Tony Bender also played well in MA1 staving off yours truly and others to take 5th. Nice work.
Sorry our +1 in dubs on Friday wasn't enough to get the job done, but it was fun playing with ya.
Not sure what other Team E members were in action this weekend, but I hope to hear today.
As for me, I finished 10th in MA1, with two DNF's behind me. I guess they were so embarrassed that I was beating them on Saturday, that they didn't show up on Sunday. :)

Disc Golfers, Posters, Countrymen, I come to you this evening torn between a celebratory mood and a somber one.
As I take this next step into message board immortality, I'm full of trepidation regarding the future of quality posting.
Before accepting the kudos for being the first to reach this PDGA DISCussion Board milestone, let me pause to discuss what is troubling me.
Throughout my undeniably unique posting career, I have tried to uphold the basic tenets of this great board. Yes, its true, I have at times fallen into the fray of the occasional flame and the single line or emoticon only post. I have at times been ridiculously argumentative (albeit, always right) just to fan the flames of a discussion further.
However for the most part, my 5,000 posts have stayed on topic and have run the gamut from informative to entertaining. The days of the high volume quality poster, however, seem to be coming to an end.
So many of today's young posters are following the seek and destroy method. These shameless post whores, personified by their leader Kid Roc, follow each other around the board from topic to topic. They feverishly type their quips, one liners and emoticon posts with a gusto reminiscent of the most passionate 804.05 discussions, but with even less substance.
As they continue to author threads entitled "I hit 1,000 posts" and "I hit 3,000 posts," it becomes obvious that we have moved into a new era. It is my belief that the stats and careers of the great posters of our "golden era" will have to be viewed with a different perspective for comparative purposes, while the "new age" poster's stats will be viewed with a jaundiced eye.
As with all aging heroes, I will of course, try to adapt to this new posting game. I will also, as with many legends of the past, probably try to hang on and be hip way past my prime, ending my career in some remote posting market, a sad and broken man.
With this in mind, let me say thanks for allowing me to reach this milestone. I will treasure these early years of my career always. Always.
So, with a sincere thank you and a heavy heart, let me just say:
"Bring on the dancing big girls and the balloons! Mr. Pozzy, I'm ready for my close-up! WooHoo!"

[Schmack talk on]
What??? I thought that you would be working on a masterful post for your 5000 considering you stayed off the board all day (well, at least around half a day). I just imagined you exiting the message board after 4999 and going straight into Microsoft Word to start on your rough draft for "The Magical 5k". I was expecting something among the lines of a dissertation from you. Then to read that you are warning us about those that you thanked during your 4k thread.
[Schmack talk off]
Seriously though, congratulations. Who would of ever thought that you would achieved the 5000 post level before you had even sunk 5000 putts during you disc golf career. :D

Not calling anybody a post ho, just trying to clear up what a post ho is.
A post ho posts many one line or less responses that add little or nothing to the discussion already occurring on that thread. These would include things like "what he said" or just an emoticon in a post. To prevent being a post ho, you must further the conversation on the thread you are posting to with your post. You need to be expanding on the information on the thread, or requesting clarification of information already posted. An opinion is always informative, and a well stated one is always welcome.

Welcome aboard Tony Bender as a full-time member of the best indepently sponsored team of disc golfers around.
Tony is one of those types of people that I'm thrilled to have representing my company, Hill Country Flyers, and our team. He's starting to step up in the Houston area as an organizer as well and the Flying Solo Memorial benefitted greatly from his staffing help.
He's always been available to help whenever called upon and is one of the more personable and even tempered guys playing golf in Texas right now.
Additionally, since stepping up to MA1, he's been playing his best golf ever.
