Thought from the title of the thread, this was going to be a Marshall bashing thread. From my limited perspective, the marshalls for the Big Show did a great job getting the scores in and supporting Brian.
A few tough calls had to be made, and they did not shrink away from ruffling a few feathers.
BTW, great job Pete. I think Gotta Go Gotta Throw made a good choice backing you (even if you aren't from Texas).

Thanks Pete! I had an easy job this weekend though! All of the tough calls shook down last weekend for Ray! (Thanks Ray! :D)
I made one call prior to the start of round 1 on Saturday when a player asked if "X" out discs were legal for play. I ruled that they were if the disc was approved for use by the PDGA and if the cosmetic defect didn't involve a hole in the flight plate.
The Pros all purported themselves properly and no complaints were voiced all weekend long. I did entertain one accusation of pencil whippin' but the complaintant dropped it after further review of his card indicated that all of the scores were "shifted" over by one box because the first score was recorded in the incorrect scorecard box.
Terry Toolen was fantastic with the scoring, and provided me with timely "dumps" of the scoresheet after each round so that we were able to get scores online before most players even had a chance to view them. Brian Mace provided a special tent area for the scoring table so were were mostly isolated away from all of the ad-hoc interruptions from players wanting to know when the next round was going to start. We were able to focus totally on scoring and so it went very quickly and smoothly.
I hope that the other TDs adopt this kind of setup for their own events for their score-keepers.

Thanks Pete.
As Larry said all the tough calls came at once during TBS Veterans Pro/Am. As one person stated I "may have been slow in making my calls", but I stand by the decisions. You have to get the whole story or as close to it as possible and that can be hard. :D
Some good recommendations will be coming out that experince.

I second that.
Very good tenting arrangement by Brian and crew for the scorers area/office. I think this had an impact on the timeliness if the score postings and round flow.

It does resemble one, now that you mention it.
I hadn't noticed before. I just get tired of my avatar, and have to modify every now and then.

Are there websites where I can choose an avatar? I'm nearly computer illiterate...and use only the library/coffee shop's...so no hard-drive of my own. I'm REAL tired of not having one...an avatar, that is.

Just do a google search for "gifs", there are allot of sites that you can link to for free.

Thanks! :)
Doc, better yet, if you looking for a specific type of image say like a disc or something, just do an image search at google and then get the name of the pic and put it as your avatar. thats what i do anyways.
