BG and Matt were -1 for the front and even for the back. They missed 5-6 20' putts. They had a run on 7 for a 2! We were +1 for the front and not even close on the back.
Ski was scary in the camisole. Thought he was trying to tell us something. :D

I guess my sense of humour is a bit off kilter ! Anywho, Hawk and I played well as a team except for a couple of holes... I has having fun up too hole 16 (where we flirted with death) and the physical and mental taxing started. Dude I was truly exhausted after the round ! I hope to make it out next week, but my new part time job thwarting would be bank robbers from making "the hit" @ Bank of America's could take priority. Look for me Standing Tall and Looking Good in a neighborhood near you. :o:D:o:D

Good for you 857!!! :D

Awwww shucks, I went down a few points... maybe when the Soiree results are turned in I'll go back up!!! With those and the Shag and the Big Cup, I'll be standing pretty. ;)

But you know, ratings are meaningless (once you're a propagator) they're just a trailing average and say nothing about how you will play next week! :D

<font color="purple">GLEN & SHAWN WIN PATAPSCO DOUBLES </font>

<font color="green">Ray and Sean B. Billfold </font>

<font color="red">first ever three way playoff narrowly avoided </font>

13 hearty discers ventured out for a warm, but breezy round from the <font color="blue"> blues. </font> In attendence were Your Disc Golf Hero & T2 (Caren Kaye (http://photos.allcelebs.us/caren-kaye/big-photo/caren-kaye_0001.jpg)), Glen & Shawn (That 70's Team), Mr. Sherwood & Mr. Boyd (Team Rockburn), Dean & 857 (Team Pine Grove), Matt & Mark (M&M), Ray & Sean (The Choking Dogs), and Tom P. as ( The Lone Ranger. (http://www.leconcombre.com/serials/comics/img12/lone/lone-ranger-19.jpg)) With a hearty hi ho Silver away, we were off.

On the front nine everyone takes a four on #1 except for The Lone Ranger (http://spiritofthebear.com/Lone%20ranger/Lone_Ranger05.jpg) who eats a five. :( On #2 Caren Kaye pick up a stroke on That 70's Team 3-4. Glen has totally embraced the 70's tennis pro look by proudly sporting a white U.S. Open tennis headband. Who actually wears headbands anymore other than small forwards in the NBA? That 70's Team quickly get the stroke back though by deucing #3 . This is also accomplished by M&M and The Choking Dogs. Team Rockburn deuce #9 as does The Lone Ranger, (http://www.fiftiesweb.com/tv/lone-ranger-cmda.jpg) M&M and The Choking Dogs. Scores on the front were:

The Choking Dogs-28
M&M-29
Team Rockburn-29
That 70's Team-29
Caren Kaye-29
Team Pine Grove-30
The Lone Ranger- (http://superherouniverse.com/other/lone-ranger/lone-ranger.jpg) 32

Venturing onto the back The Choking Dogs deuce #10 :), and follow that up by actually threeing #11! :DThat 70's Team also pull of this relatively rare feat. :cool:Team Pine Grove deuce #13 :) as does That 70's Team with what probably turned out to be the deciding shot by Shawn. Teeing off Shawn misses the mando, and Glen does the safety drive short of the mini forest guarding the basket. Shawn steps up to their lie and weaves a shot through the trees from 100'+ out that slams into the basket for the deuce! :cool:This was also wear Caren Kaye lose contact with That 70's Team as my drive sailed around the mando, and misses the basket by about 5'. Tom drives us up to the drop zone. After watching Shawn's shot we figure we have lost one stroke, and after two approaches we find Tom is 20' out. We both promptly miss the putt :o :( which became a theme for our round. :mad:Meanwhile deuces abound on #15 as Team Pine Grove take the two :D, as do M&M and The Choking Dogs. At this point The Choking Dogs are -1 for the round, but they collapse taking the other five of the round on #16, and then going 4-4 on #17 & #18. :( :o :mad:Scores on the back were:

That 70's Team-27 (56)
Team Pine Grove-27 (57)
The Choking Dogs-29 (57)
M&M-29 (58)
Team Rockburn-30 (59)
Caren Kaye-30 (59)
The Lone Ranger- (http://www.fiftiesweb.com/tv/lone-ranger-jhda.jpg)31 (63)

Next week we go from the <font color="red">reds</font> and if Dr. Evil shows, we may shuffle some baskets after the round.

Yesterday while practicing at the course I observed a pair of shoes with socks, and a blue baseball cap on the ground near the kiosk picnic table. Assuming these belonged to frolicing park folk I left the items there. Upon returning today the items were still there causing me to remove them. At this point I realized...

<font color="red"> ATTENTION MR. SHERWOOD </font>

You apparently left half your wardrobe at the course after doubles on Saturday. I have said items in my possession at this time.

The real questions is this:

Which is more embarassing? Leaving half your outfit at the course, or actually owning and wearing a Dale Earnhardt cap?

Young Matt nearly got the ace :cool:when his drive slammed into chains, but he tumbled to the ground. :mad:Meanwhile on #4 The Favorites take a circle five after both members manage to find the road on their second shots :owhile Skucci records the only three.#5 also became a deuce fest with Tom Squared, Air John, Skucci, and K2 carding the twos. K2 & Skucci go back to back by also deucing #6. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Tom Squared take a tough five on #7. :mad:The Favorites show a little life by deucing #9, and are joined by Skucci and Four E's. THIS JUST IN!

i just won tix to the ravens/foreskins scrimmage this saturday. since i'm planning on going to the hound dog howler that day (as long as it isn't full), i'll put them up as a ctp at this week's TNT.

foreskins fans (i know who you are) are not eligible for this ctp.

Aug 01 2005, 09:17 PM
Move 4 back accross the street so they keep the grass mowed on that side.
16 will need to be weed wacked to the left of A as well.

16 is going to b if jim can find it. we are tired of 4c, so it will go to a as soon as jim fixes the sleeve. they seem to be cutting anyway and i'm not that worried about the grass on the other side of the road on 4. thanks for doing some weedwhacking tom. i hope to finish up 7 and 8 within a week or so. might need a stump spotter. hopefully i will hook up with dean.

<font color="red"> THE PATAPSCO PUTTERS WIN DOUBLES </font>

<font color="orange"> Who Didn't Beat Ski? </font> :D

15 discers rolled into the park today with several new faces joining the fun. Lefty gave a putting demostration during warm-ups with his Polecat. (http://www.innovadiscs.com/discs/polecat.html)

Best Choice for: putting, grade school learners, short approaches, converting from "catch discs".

I'm sure it's that grade school part that lured him in. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif After the initial draw conducted by my ex-wife I was teamed up with some guy named Jim, and Fred (of the minor league bored) was facing being the Lone Ranger. Fred declined the honor, and Dr. Evil bowed out to make the numbers even. He's resting his elbow for the big Masters showdown next weekend. ;) So we reshuffled the minis, and Lindsay again drew me and this Jim guy as a team. :oSeven teams broke down as Hawk & Jim (SpinHawk), David & Fred (3D), Kelly & The Professor (Team Swamp), Lindsay & Neil (Girlie Man), Ski & John (Skin), Dan & Brady (Dandy), and Shawn & Wayne (Shane). We broke into three groups and headed out to the <font color="blue">blues. </font>

Playing the still long #1 SpinHawk, Dandy, and Girlie Man :Dget the three while Team Swamp take the five.
:( Deuces start appearing on #3 with Dandy & Shane cashing in. :) Shane take the lone three on #5. No one deuces #6 , and then on #7 the SpinJammer shows why he is the course pro. Uncorking a Valkyrie Roller that nails the A pin alley, Jim's drive cruises pass the B pin and settles on the edge of the rough. :cool:SpinHawk approach and putt out for the only three ;) while Team Swamp take a six. :mad:On #8 Jim drives and nails a 20' putt earning SpinHawk the lone deuce. :p SpinHawk follows that up with fairly similar drives on #9 where I make the 25' putt again giving SpinHawk the lone deuce. :) Scores off the front were:

SpinHawk-26
Shane-28
Dandy-28
Skin-31
Girlie Man-32
3D-33
Team Swamp-34

On #11 SpinHawk card the lone deuce as Jim nails a 20' putt from the wheatfield. On #13 Jim again unleashes something unbelieveable when he drives that same Valkyrie through the tree stand and it fades left leaving SpinHawk 25' up and to the left of the basket. SpinHawk approach and out for a three, and walk back up the hill thinking this is worth at least a stroke on all of the other teams. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif However Dandy & Shane also card threes! :o:cool:Skin & Team Swamp take fives. :( :mad:On #15 Shane and Team Swamp card deuces :Dwith The Professor parking the basket with his trusty Sherwinder. (Yes he made sure I knew this post round) :DDandy card the lone deuce on #16 :). On #17 SpinHawk card the lone three, and this time the perceived stroke edge holds as the other teams take fours except 3D who eat the five. :( Scores on the back were:

SpinHawk-26 (52)
Shane-27 (55)
Team Swamp-29 (63)
Dandy-30 (58)
Skin-30 (61) :o
Girlie Man-31 (63)
3D-34 (67)

Thanks also to Lindsay who donated a WVO Wasp as a CTP for next weeks fun from the <font color="red">reds. </font> Neil wanted me to remind everyone that Serious Sunday Swamp Doubles tees at 1100 with the 1045 draw occuring approximately around 1053...ish.

Hawk neglected to mention that his improbable double draw with NoSpin and inevitable victory was foreshadowed just prior to the round. <font color="blue"> The Lone Ranger Comes In Second </font>

<font color="orange">where's ski? </font> /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Seven big time stud golfers braved the 91 degree (104 heat index) conditions to tee off at 1100 this morning. Brady brought tomoatos which everyone resisted throwing at one another. Mr. Sherwood was disgruntled upon arrival, and barely improved during the round. The produce clerk drew the minis, and teams came out as: Hawk & Dean (DeanHawk) , Shark & Brady (The Battling Bickersons) , Shawn & George (S&G) and Dan from Middletown was the last mini out, and accepted the role as The Lone Ranger! Playing from the <font color="red">reds </font> we split into two groups and headed out in slooooooow motion.

Deuces begin to appear on #3 when S&G and DeanHawk make similar longs putts from near the A pin to the B pin basket. :cool:No one deuced the short #6. :oOn #7 The Lone Ranger takes a five :(, but follows that up with a deuce on #8. :) The Battling Bickersons close out the front with a deuce :) as Brady takes the Lindsay Merce provided WVO Wasp ctp. :cool:If Brady actually attends the WVO the ctp sponsor will provide a friendly hug of congratulations. ;) Careful Girlie as he's not called the Polecat for nothing! Scores on the front were:

DeanHawk-27
S&G-28
The Lone Ranger -29
Battling Bickersons-29

On the back The Lone Ranger continues to play well deucing #11. :) DeanHawk deuce #14 after Dean drives us to within 15' and I make the putt. :DThe rest of the back and the round was a collection of threes and fours for everybody. It was a three kind of day. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Scores on the back were:
DeanHawk-26 (53)
The Lone Ranger-26 (55)
The Battling Bickersons-28 (57)

good luck paul! kick some ADV butt for MD! A high finish or, dare i say it, win at WVo would be awesome. And a forehand roller is clutch there. i won't be able to go this year, i'm shooting to have my elbow fully healed by hawk hollow...

Wow! Last I saw that disc it was settling into the very top of the first tall cedar on hole nine during a warm up round for the Soiree. I started to climb up, but soon realized I’m way too old for those kinds of shenanigans. After four months I was beginning to think I would never see that Eagle again. Now can the Soiree results be far behind? Thanks Hawk. I plan on being at Patapsco Saturday morning. Was there a recovery fee?

Was there a recovery fee?

No fee. DJ told me they had one of mine up there, so I stopped by today, and found a Beast I lost at the Mid-Atlantic last year. During the browsing I found your Eagle. They were a little skeptical at letting me take it, but I have a badge.

The TOP Story in the Frederick News Post this morning is about Disc Golf in Middletown...This is unreal! There is a picture of Dan Becker???? putting right under the "Fred. News Post" on the front page...the article actually appears in the front page of the sports section. I checked the on-line FNP, but they stillhave yesterdays news posted...I'll provide a link later on today when they update the stories.

the part about the course originally being designed by a girl scout was timely and kinda funny (though it has since been redesigned) /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

they talked a little about trees, though i don't think they exist at the park.

i might make dubs this saturday.

<font color="blue"> The Lone Ranger Ties For Second </font>

<font color="666666">who's ready to play 18 holes to "c" ;) </font>

Nine discers posted for todays round from the <font color="blue">blues. </font> Several of them still drying off from last nights glow fiesta at Kinder, and one young man still Gazelleless. With George doing the guest draw duties today, teams shook out as: No Spin & Ski (No Ski) , Paul & Boyd (Team TNT) , Hawk & George (The Masters) , Matt & Dub (Dutt) and Wayne was last out of the bag and agreed to be The Lone Ranger. Off we went.

Deuces continue to appear on #3 (I'll have to do something about that :D) as Dutt card a two as Dub joins the growing list of players :cool:who have nailed a putt from the edge of the A pins fringe. No Ski also take the two as Jim drives over all the trees  to land near the creekbed in the clearing Dean made a couple of weeks ago. Not to be outdone The Masters card a two on #4 as we drive up the left hand side landing about 100' away. I called my Classic Roc as going in prior to the shot growing the legend of Your Disc Golf Hero. We do however follow that up by taking a five on #5. :o:mad:No Ski and Team TNT both card deuces on #6. :) It's fours all around on #7 except for The Masters who take a five. :( On #8 The Masters card a two as George drives and makes a 15'er. :cool:No Ski and Team TNT again pull the double deuce :D:Don #9. Scores on the front were:

No Ski-25
Dutt-27
The Lone Ranger-29
Team TNT-30
The Masters-31

On the back The Lone Ranger makes his moving deucing #'s 11 & 12!!:) After that it's threes and fours for all until No Ski get to #18 and card the final back deuce. :)
Scores on the back were:

The Lone Ranger-26 (55)
No Ski-28 (53)
Dutt-28 (55)
The Masters-28 (59)
Team TNT-29 (59)

roller round vs. glen at the hizzle yesterday afternoon from the metals.

we used three discs each. i used a dx leopard for BH, and a heavy dx banshee for FH. glen used a champ valk for FH and i think a panther for BH. we both carried a putter. the unspoken rule was roll everything except what you would otherwise use a putter for on second shots. in keeping with the spirit of prepping for wap wap, if i found myself in the rough i would roll out, even if the putter was a viable option.

my shot of the day came on the hole determined "least likely to otherwise throw a roller". that was 7A  :D. there, i evil knievl'ed it up the left side with the BH. it hopped up over the road and settled for deuce (i did call it :D).

glen was rolling better than his score shows. he missed a couple putts that he normally doesn't.

total round time-- 45 minutes

i've played worse than that with a full bag  especially considering the course is kinda playing tough and long.

i intend to do at least one more found like this prior to leaving for wap wap. next time with two different discs of the same mold to break them in.

it may take a couple days for the new address to flow down to your dns server. also clearing your temporary internet files can help. another thing to try is go to a command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdnscache" if you have windows 2000 or better.

Duh! (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=430531&Main=428670#Post430531)

Whos hosting and what is the uniform ??

Your Disc Golf Hero. Casual Saturday.

Should I pack a lunch or will one be provided.

Yes. No.

Will anyone be vending ?

Not allowed in a state park.

What time is the draw and what time do we start ??

The usual.

Is that guy Hawk [I'm a potty-mouth!] ?

Opinion is split 50-50.

Does he infact have only one nut ?

Yes, but Lance and I are still twice the man you are.

Will Ski win again ?

The Magic 8-Ball says unlikely.

Is that guy Ski available ?

At a bath house near you.

Is that guy Jim Meyers coming out again ?

The Magic 8-Ball says unlikely.

Is he really all hes cracked up to be ?

He's a bad discin' man.

have you ever played 20 questions ?

Yes.

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light ?

Yes.

Have you ever played disc golf ?

I'm a professional.

have you ever played disc golf on weed ?

Unlike 97.3% of my contempories I need no weed. Does second hand smoke count?

Have you ever jumped out of a perfectly good airplane ?

No.

have you ever had B.G.'s nutz on your chin ?

No. See bath house comment above.

have you ever won patapsco doubles ?

Three times?

am I done here ?

Totally.
