since i've been notorious recently for bashing certain aspects of pdga related items, perhaps even a bit too harshly (but that borders on an apology, so i'll proceed with caution :) ), its only fair that i'm willing to applaud the good things with the same fervor. see below (since we can't post to the pdga announcement threads).
The PDGA and Queensboro Shirt Company (www.queensboro.com) would like to announce a working relationship as an embroidery supplier to the PDGA. This company is a leader in embroidered product support for small businesses, and Queensboro offers the PDGA and its sanctioned events a great deal in supporting small to large quantities of embroidered goods at a price you can afford! The quality of the Queensboro merchandise and the ease of use of their website will make ordering merchandise very convenient to the TDs. The relationship can benefit the PDGA and its Tournament Directors [TDs] in many ways as well:
- Providing the TDs of sanctioned PDGA events with an convenient, quality supplier of varied, high quality embroidered merchandise with pre-setup of PDGA and Sponsor's marks for convenient embroidery for both internal use and for resale to the public
- Providing low set-up costs for custom tournament logos and low minimum quantities to individual TDs for embroidered items, as compared with other merchants
- All work, including embroidery is handled in-house, and backed by Queensboro with an unconditional 10 year money-back guarantee
- The PDGA and Sponsor logos can be easily incorporated into any TD's embroidered merchandise
- Very well laid out website for viewing and ordering of merchandise
- A single point of contact within Queensboro will quickly provide the quality customer service necessary to these "independent contractors".
Here is what Queensboro is providing to any and all TDs of PDGA sanctioned events:
1. Embroidery setup of the first Event logo for each independent event host shall be at no cost to the event or the PDGA. This is standard to all new Queensboro customers, and its only a four (4) pieces when you want to reorder something else!
- Queensboro already offers free setup of your tournament or club logo for free with a minimum 6 piece initial order. I have used them for both club (HFDS) and tourney logos in the past, and with no setup charge, it works perfect for increasing the image of your TD staff, or even to sell quality embroidered merchandise for publicizing your event!
2. Embroidery of the first PDGA imaging mark ( as noted above ) on embroidered event merchandise at no cost to the independent event host. Embroidery of any additional PDGA or Sponsor imaging marks shall be at $3.50 per piece. This free PDGA imaging embroidery shall be in addition to the free embroidery of the first Event logo at no cost built into the Queensboro standard pricing structure.
- Queensboro will have the PDGA, NT and other logos already setup in their system, so you can add it to your embroidery order without a setup charge. (this is part of the extra benefits that they gave to the PDGA). Queensboro already offers free setup of your tournament or club logo for free with a minimum 6 piece initial order. What this means is that Queensboro will add one (1) PDGA mark (PDGA logo, NT logo, etc.) to your embroidered merchandise for free! Any second or more PDGA marks are $3.50 ea. Gives your embroidered merchandise a nice professional touch.
3. All present minimum order quantities as marketed by Queensboro on their website, direct mailings and/or catalogs shall apply to each individual order placed by an independent event host or by the PDGA. (All sales shall be taxed as applicable by law and Queensboro policies, unless the independent event host supplies a valid tax-exempt certificate to Queensboro.)
- if you find sale price or closeouts on their website that you want to order, go for it. The above deal still applies!!!
4. In addition to the discounted pricing above, Queensboro shall provide a 5% credit rebate back to the Professional Disc Golf Association each fiscal quarter, based on gross collected sales income (excluding setup costs, shipping/handling costs and taxes) by Queensboro. This puts money back into the game of disc golf!
If you are interested, please contact the PDGA office or Dave Nesbitt, PDGA Competition Director for details on how to get started!!
