that would be a 50/50 chance, it might sprinkle or lightly shower, or it could lightning and hail, weather.com can't make up its mind.

I'll contact him and give him your 411 Craig.
Brenner, Did you take any strokes yesterday for a disc being higher than 2m above the playing surface? I took a circle 5 on hole #1 and Claydog reversed the circle and gave me a 4 b/c you refused to take strokes b/c it wasn't mentioned in the players meeting. :D

Also, Greg brought up a GREAT point. We should only cancel our ace pot when the nearby event is sanctioned. That my friends is the TRUTH and is worth chewing on. Yesterday's ace should not have been canceled for 18 teams playing in a nonsanctioned event.

no i did not take it. sorry fellas, but if we are playing by pdga rules of play, the TDs need to call it or it aint in effect. if we are playing by local rules, then i should have taken the stroke based on unwritten rules :D Cedar Hill is playing safe unless called also; we might not like the change, but thats the cards the association dealt.
were you within 10M of the pin for your stroke?

I agree. If we are playing by PDGA rules then the TD must call it EVERY week. If he/she fails, then 2m above the surface is safe.
The bold text is irrelevent under current PDGA rules but for the sake of answering it......YES, i was inside of 10m AND missed the putt. :D

aha, haha, heeheehaaw... if i was TD you woulda been OB cuz its inse the circe. except that i always forget to call that stuff. good thing too, cuz yesterday i blew my drive on 8 and ended up over by the trees you try to clear off of Champ pad :) :) :) definitely over the sidewalk.
(did i tell you about being over the sidewalk on my SECOND shot on hole three last week? freakin Doctor Greg TD has the over the sidwalk is out on also

i listened to some vet type pros yesterday griping hardcore about 2m in the circle rule....i dont really have an opinion, but they acted like it was the stupidest thing they have ever heard of, "we meseaure 2m up then 30m out, come on just call 2m or dont!" i edited the obscenities, neither of them were aware (as i was) the noble genius behind this ruling, and if they did it may have tempered their hardness towards the idea, i dont know. but it was mighty entertaining :D

so why is 2M inside the circle not good but 2M all over is OK? just cuz they dont know how to pace off 10M??? :)
after i took a 2M stroke on Champ 5, i decided 2M on the fairway is BS. it is frequently random luck, especially when its a blind shot.

Who were the top pros that were crying?
I do think that it is kinda a stupid idea though. So you have to measure 2m up and 30' out. I have to tell you that most people don't know how far 30' really is. If you are stuck in a tree you deserve to recieve a 1 stroke pen.

you have to measure 10M out anyway for falling putts. besides you dont need to measure all your shots - just the ones hanging in trees close to the pin.

Only you and rec players call falling putts. I would have to stroke Ben Renyolds every time he putted inside 30'.

it's closer to 33', not 30'. 32.8084 feet, to be exact. 10m != 30ft.

Lil Greggy K. comes to play in one mini a year, pays a grand total of $2 for the year into the ace pot, and sure enough turns his investment into $568 with an ace on #15 this morning. believe it, my xhero. the killa was in town!
hahaha, less than 12 hours after retching violently in my driveway, greggo knocks it down. and it was solid. sliced thru an outer twig on the way up like it was butter. yes, it had a ram stamp, but it homed in so tight there was no doubt possible that it would stick... a rumor was heard that is was a DevilHawk with street trimmings. who knows, seeings how The Killa's left nad was still throbbing from the drilling gary gave it two holes earlier.
dat was sweet! always glad to see ya Greg !

What a great way to start the new year. It's cold and windy and no one can hold onto their disc the plastic's so hard. Thirty nine people playing, though, and only seven break 60. The good Doc wasn't one of them but he still walked away as the biggest winner on the day after acing #15 and pocketing $500 shemolians. If I were to pick the one person who deserved it (other than me) it would have to be Greg. Way to go!!!!!!!!

Shhhhhh Skipper! He told his wife it was only $100. Which wasn't too bad of a lie after paying off his splits on the card, AND paying $5 to each of the 42 branches it hit on the way!

The end result was a perfect shot, that's for sure. Who cares how it got there? I just didn't want Skipper to get you in trouble with the Mrs. I do just wish you would have said two words while the disc was flying....errrr bouncing around. I can't say one of them here without being probed but the two word saying starts with "OH" and ends with a synonym of "Fecal Matter!" THOSE are the best aces. Congrats my friend, you truly are My_Hero! ;)

Well the Ace's are still swarming the Vet. Sunday's hit two weeks in a row.
And Now?
It was the Denny O' show.
Fist hole #18 Off the top of the hill - SILENT it was because I was on hole #3 and heard nothing. So he took home $58 because it was hit before Christmas.
Then he Took 1st place over Clayton by one stroke.
Good Job Denny!!!
See everyone next week....

You know, John, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe his sweetie was hiding in the dark (something he's known to do) and caught the disc mid flight and did a basketball dunk on the basket. That's my theory anyway. He tried to buy us off with a split, but then that brat Seabolt hits #14 while we're walking onto #11's box and cuts my share in half. We just told him to keep it. Something about Subway vs. Wendy's for lunch I dunno......anyway that's 6 aces in the last month at Veterans Park. Remarkable !!!!!!!!

I filled in for Greg yerterday and had to pay off the $404 ace pot to Ben Reynolds who hit #9 and had just re-upped minutes before. He was on the card with Geesa and another guy we hadn't seen in awhile, Russ DeWolfe. Russ chose not to re-up when he signed up and didn't get to split the money with Ben after he hit an ace on his last hole #5. Two aces on the same threesome card. A rarity indeed. Congrats to both.

Well, it's been ages since a Sunday ace at the Vet. The ace pot is currently at $750 with $286 in the backup. The main ace pot is capped at $750 until we get $500 in the backup, and $250 in a second backup. At the current pace we are at with respect to mini attendance, this could happen by late October or perhaps even earlier if the heat dies down and the minis get back up to 50-60 players.

About 40-50 for most of the summer. Over the last few weeks when the temps have been over 100, it has dwindled to about 30.
