View Full Version : The Peoria Disc Golf Club helps at the 2004 Worlds
The Peoria Disc Golf Club has been a great asset to the sport of Disc Golf. Just this evening I learned that several of the 2004 Worlds tournament directors are coming from Peoria! I on behalf of The Des Moines Disc Golf Club would like to thank the Peoria Clan for their support of this monumental event.
One of our goals is to give the directors time off to do other things like playing Disc Golf. Peoria’s help will go a long way in this endeavor!
When Becky made the offer I jumped at the chance! This will be the 3rd World's that I have been an Official. Also helped out at a couple of Am Worlds. I always have a great time. I get to watch some of the best Disc Golfers that have ever played the game!

Are there any locals that will show an out of towner a guided tour of the Peoria courses over New Years weekend?

I'll be at a charity tourney in Geneseo,IL on New Year's Day, but other than I'm free all weekend. As of now I plan on playing McNaughton Park on Fri. Email me and maybe we can work out something.

I found out that Peoria is to far from where I will be staying, I don't have that much time to drive that far. I will be trying to play in Springfield by the look of it. Anyone out there from Sprigfield?
A group of us might be interested in a couple rounds in Springfield. What day/time is good for you? Which course? :confused: <font color="blue"> </font>

I jsut wanted to thank all the folks that took the time to come out and play golf with me. I truly enjoyed your courses, and the pleasure of golfing with you was all mine. I look forward to returning to Illinois, and meeting up with you all again.
If anyone else reads this, you will never find a nicer group of strangers to meet up with on the road, these guys now what hospitality is all about!!!!!

This is kind of out of place but didn't want to post a new thread for it. Does anyone here know if Anna Pages 2nd 18 holes is in the ground yet? Or Carl Sprays email address? thanks ahead of time!

This is kind of out of place but didn't want to post a new thread for it. Tonight I saw our local hockey team, the Reading Royals, defeat the Peoria Rivermen to take a 2-1 lead in the East Coast Hockey League playoffs, woo-hoo!
It's not over yet!!! Go Rivermen!

Thanks for being a good sport! That's what minor league hockey is all about.
Now I'll have to find my way over to the Ft. Myers Disc Golf Club page, home of the Florida Everblades, and talk smack there!
