View Full Version : CT getting a new 9 hole course in Orange, CT by Thanksgiving!!!

Nov 11 2003, 10:08 PM
It has taken over a year from the planning stages to an Eagle scout troop installing sponsor tee signs and Innova DisCatcher pole holes for the new 9 hole Orange, CT disc golf course to become a reality. It will be ready for play by Thanksgiving!. The course will also have a first tee practice putting hole(Innova DiscCatcher, same as all other holes on the course). The course is located at 525 Orange Center Rd. in Orange, CT. The course setting is in the High Plains Community Center Park, and that will be the course name. If you are ever travelling on I-95, the town of Orange is just a few miles west of New Haven, CT. The Orange Recreation Dept. and Director Dan MacInnis would love to have you give the course a play. His contact email is dmacinnis@orange-ct.gov. Connecticut is still the "What Is Disc Golf" state, but we are optimistic that the disc golf course "domino theory" will happen here like it has in so many other parts of our country.

Hi Ross and hope your holiday visit will include some disc golf fun at the new Orange Disc Golf Course. When you get in CT, give Mr. MacInnis a call at (203) 891-2188. The course is now under installation by the Eagle Scout Troop. I do believe that all the 9 holes are par 3s. Mr. MacInnis would know the course design and if maps are currently available. I plan to play the course as well when it is officially open for play. Have a great trip to good ole CT!

I believe that the new course was just installed this past month, haven't had a chance to play it or heard of anyone who has, check the nefa (nefa.com) board for info on the new course.
