Damon Conrad,

I am not sure if you are aware that USADDGA is no longer an organization. The name was switched to DDGA! Deaf Disc Golf Association. Hope you will be able to change that name. By the way, to set up a discussion about DDGA on PDGA is a great idea! Kevin

Just wanted to say that we have had several of the DDGA members???( not sure if they are members or not, but they are great just the same) at the Arlington events lately and you couldn't meet a better group of people. Someone said that they had a hard time communicating since they didn't sign until I pointed out that all you need is paper and a pencil!!!!! Hope to see more of the DDGA members at our future events. I know of at least two deaf golfers that are coming out for the Veteran's Ice Bowl(doubles format, fund raiser) on Febuary 15th and would like to encourage even more to show up :D:D:D

Yes, Three of us went to VPO AM tournment. We had a good time and very easy to understand them. We are trying to get some more friends to play at Ice Bowl. By the way, we are members of DDGA. You all are welcome to give us feedbacks about everything! Keep Discin':cool:

It was great seeing Joey and the gang at the VPO. It's always a pleasure to see them at Bear Creek as well. Just don't tell anyone that i was giving demonstrations with an Innova disc. Had a QUALITY DISCRAFT disc been handy, you would have learned much more /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have to agree with Shua when he states that users are not treated equally. Why is it that when I refer to someone as a faceless coward I was threatened to be eliminated, but when other members do the same it is as if it never happened? Here is an example.

“Ooooo! Tough talk from a nameless coward. Yeah! You're a regular John Wayne, you are...

At least Mike is openly an [*****]...”
Quote of Nick Kight

Sure I have had my beef with certain individuals on the board but so have a lot of other members. Here is another from the great Ask Hawk thread.

"Now here's the part that really bothers me. I have close friends from high school, college, and my job that I have known for ten, fifteen, twenty years. We joke around with each other all the time. Our humor is deep, sarcastic, very biting, and often on the edge, but it's never taken the wrong way because we've all EARNED each other's trust and respect. Hawk and Paul make their "locker room" humor with me like I'm their fraternity brother or something. I've never even met Hawk and Paul in real life! I don't appreciate them thinking they have the right to joke around with me like that. I don't know them. They don't know me. They haven't earned my respect or the right to insult me. Not one bit.

I'll reiterate the point I made once before that if I was out on the disc golf course and some stranger came up to me and started insulting me out of the blue the way they do, I'd likely beat the **** out of him. Anyone would. And I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit back and let them take "pot-shots" at me all day, and not retaliate just because I "shouldn't wreck the 'Ask Hawk' thread for everybody!" Or would it be okay if I retaliated as long as I "post in the form of a question?" It's always instigated by them, and my defensive instinct is to strike right back and return it in spades. If they'd be cool to me, I'd be nothing but peace and good vibes in return." Quote by Lung

I totally agree with this guy. I don’t understand why I am targeted when I deal with the same issues that have been going on in this community for a long time? Why? Is it because I have not paid my dues? Why all of a sudden is it that the non-members are the ones reprimanded?

Have we addressed the issues with the PDGA abusing its authority on the board? Are they imposing restrictions on them selves for the mistakes they have made? Obviously targeting individuals but also making drastic “oopsies” and deleting evidence of incidents on the forum. Here is one for example. The original thread was deleted but here is part of the argument.

"I don't mind free speech, in public or on the internet. It doesn't personally offend me that the PDGA's Executive Director, Brian Hoeniger, posted things here on the DISCussion Board that many Americans would find offensive. However, Brian did this under the screen name "PDGAOffice" which we all know implies that it is approved by the PDGA. The statements Brian made have been removed from DISCussion, which I agree is the right move, but I still feel that Brian and the PDGA owe us an apology for the unprofessional conduct displayed by a person who is a paid PDGA staff member. " Quote by UnderparMikey

Lets not make changes out of haste against the “huge” non member but possible future financial supporters of this “club”.
