UNC Doubles

Just a reminder that UNC is starting doubles this Monday at 5:30. While I will not be in attendance, I am under the impression that several individuals will be playing $5 a head winner takes all.

Yeah everyone should come on out and have a good time. The weather is looking great so lets get a big turn out!

June 2nd? When we did this last year(or maybe 2 years ago) the start time was 6. It's a little easier for those getting off of work at 5.

We just tried to get the ball rolling last week, and there was not that great of a turnout but we are just getting started and we need all the people we can get.

a lot of people said they wanted 6:00 but just as many people said 5:00 or earlier, so I think 5:30 is the best, but we can change it if necessary.

i'll be there next week but I would vote for 6.

HAHA... you guys should have seen it last night at piedmont random doubles at kentwood. Rob's partner was a 14 year old with 3 fingers whos max distance was about 30 ft. They shot 1 under and finished dead last... talk about funny! I almost felt sorry for him, the 14 year old I mean/msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Jeremy, I'm sorry I dont know you either... it was funny because stuff like this always happens to Rob. Seeing Rob's reactions and listening him talk about it last night for an hour was funny. I wasn't laughing at the kid, in fact, I'm glad to see more people out there giving it their best. I'm sorry you read into it that much... Rob knew what I meant.

Naw Bert, I cant make it to farm life. I got way too much stuff to do here in raleigh. I will definately be at Horizons, Zebulon and probabay some of the Points Bonanza! Oh, BTW.. I meant to tell you congrats on your comeback at Valley Bert. That 46 was pretty nasty! Way to represent ECU dogg!

So has the payout moved from cash to discs?

The payout is still going to be cash until the time when we can get someone to coordinate on a regular basis. Hopefully this is not too far down the road.

Thanks to everyone for coming out this evening. We had seven players and the winning team was Brian and Ryan who shot a very strong 40. Way to go guys. For those who were not there we ran a $2 entry and a $1 ace pool. No one hit the ace so we are going to keep this pool going so the big pot is sitting at $7 ripe for the picking so let's get some more people to come out. Thanks to John and Joe for making their Carolina Disc Golf Club debuts. We will be continuing this random doubles tournament at 6pm on Mondays with a $2 entry and $1 ace pool so spread the word and let's see this thing grow.

Has the course configuration at UNC been changed at all since Dec. 2002? Is hole 1 still across the ravine to the old 2 placement; hole 2 down the hill; hole 3 across the pond...? Please let me know ASAP because if there were any changes I need to tell everyone playing the Great 8 on Sat.
