Any OHIO clubs planning OHIO STATE DOUBLES

Ihavnt heard anything in a while. If anybodys got info or has done it in the past let me know. Im interested in running it next year in Columbus.

Pat from Norwalk is interested in doing something possibly related to a state doubles competition. So is Heckathorn.

Cuson and I would like to do pro and am state doubles at Hoover/Hambrick. Maybe 24 holes with Gordon Holton's help on some baskets.

I know that Tom Colby from Massillon ran the doubles two years ago without alot of advertisement he has stated an intrest in running them again but has not yet set a date and I doubt that he will any time soon. I would be willing to run them this year but not next year, I think that the competition should rotate courses throughout the state. I could run them July 5-6 at Spiker Arboretum Park in Canton.
What do you think about that Marq?

Steve- i also like the idea of rotating courses. Did u mean multiple events one season, or switch every year? we wanted to wait til next year anyhow. I'll have Dan call u up!
Ellis- pro or am? Blendon Woods in Columbus does a 3 round/one day doubles in oct or nov, ams only. PRIMUS $UCK$

wow, sounds like we got something cookin'.

anyone who wants to be heard on the matter, speak up now. i'm going to start an e-mail discussion for a few items on the agenda. #1) state representative for the USDGC. #2) state doubles. #3) etcetera. Hopefully come up with some solutions over a two-week period.

I'm very interested in some sort of state doubles thing....Sounds like a good time to me. Just make sure you guys keep the NW(Toledo, BG Area)Ohio people informed as to what the game plan is. Have discs......will travel.

and the latest method of selection that i have heard favorable reviews on, is... starting May 31st, and running through September 21st, a ranking system will be used to determine the Ohioan who has the highest ranking (from Ohio events). The highest ranking player, not already qualified, (and not a past USDGC competitor), will be awarded the state representative spot. If declined, it is passed to the next in rank.
